was in the bank of ireland in roxboro shopping centre limerick lodging money into an account i had there, had the notes in one hand and atm card in another. handed the card over the counter, cashier tots up the balance and credits it to my account and hands me back the card. me being me turns and walks out the door not realising i still have the money in my hand. decided to go back as these people have a habit of taking it back when you havent got it.

have also seen people leaving credit cards in machines, dont know how many of them i have handed in belonging to people in front of me in a queue.

All you forgetfull people, beware the atm in limerick station. I was rushing to get the last train back to dublin one night about 2 years ago. Walked briskly in the front door and straight up to the atm. there was noone at all while i was walking in, got up to the machine and there was €60 sticking out of it. Looked around and asked a girl if she or anyone else had been at the machine. She didnt know and there was noone else around. Waited about another 30 seconds for the money to disappear back in. It still hadnt and the train was about to depart and i still needed to buy a ticket so i eventually just took the money and bought my ticket out of it. just made the train. Dont feel guilty cause there was nothing more i could have done, wasnt going to miss the last train cause of someone else's mistake.

you could have contacted the ulster bank on o connell street in limerick and asked them to check their logs of who took money out of their account before you used your own card. and repayed whoever it was the €50

I think honesty is the best policy. Ive seen people drop phones and people pick them up and go after the person to give them back. Its nice to know there more decent people around then scumbags Couple of weeks ago, i left a 20 in the atm n o comnell st, :o rembered 10 seconds later, it was there when i went back, lucky me indeed.
