Has anyone ever tried making a play staighre (yes, I am a bit of a purist in this respect) or even staighrí (haha!) out of matchsticks and cardboard? That would be cool as a mascot.

Stiras are the work of the Devil, I tell ye...........When I was 14 the Evil MotherFu@ker attacked me. It caught my left hand index finger in between the pieces as it came sliding down, done the riverdance on the landing for about 15 minutes.....lost my nail over it. my finger is still slightly misshapen.......Pure Evil.

Oh Look my virgin post... wish me luck!?!?

Yeah I want to go and "Discover Stira©" too and looks like the car is full and if tom is going we will have to push it back till mid august, due to Delhi.
However if we decide to go while Tom is away I call his seat.

I hear There is a stira van parked in 68 Landsdowne park , Knocklyon. But I think thats only an urban legend!

can stira get a board here ?
cause It would be far more usefull than the mustard one(nbo offence)!

Hi... found this today... don't ask me how.

"Michael Burke founded the Stira Attic Stairs Company over 22 years ago, when he identified consumers wanted easy access to their loft space. His engineering background helped him create a sturdy folding stairs, but it took him over six months to develop an optimum design.

Kevin Cunningham joined the Dunmore (Co. Galway) company nearly five years ago and as design engineer at Stira, has overseen considerable changes at the company and its move into CAD - opening the door for greater accuracy and additional product lines. "

Does anyone have pictures of Michael Burke or know anything about him? Anyone got any news clippings, interviews, anything? Willing to trade.

    this is getting really old.

wont people let this thread die?

Just in case someone does really want to let this thread die, I would like to take this opportunity to offer my ongoing support in the discussion and promotion of this life changing product.

Stira is a lifestyle, it represents a wholesome Ireland, an Ireland long forgotton in a haze of lattés, bling, smirnoff ice and The Corrs.

Stira is green cords, brown shoes and a purple sweater worn all at once.
Stira is a hang sangitch on white bread with lots of butter.
Stira is Wonderly Wagon, The Community Games, Síamsa......

    Stira foreveeeeeeeeeeer!

This is not a matter to be joked about, my brother was decending the afore mentioned "Stira" when overcome by gravity and his own clumsyness fell head first and has been in a stira induced coma for 8 years.

The family are currently seeking furthur damages from the stira "corporation of greed" in the hope that more advanced medical treatment can release my sibling from his staircase misadventure.
