    just a thought

men at the best of times have a hard time reading womens minds so.......

I just said that all wrong. I wouldn't jump the gun like that. I was just saying if I was told by a mate or something that my girlfriend said she was going to dump me, then I would flip the cards and shock her by dumping her.

Yeah - it's like evrything else in life - if it's worth having you will have to do a bit of work to get it & keep it...
Running at the first sign of trouble will get you no where - you could be missing out on something great by doing that......

But would you really take the chance that your mate was telling you the whole truth????? What happened to the 'You can't trust anyone these days' ...... wouldn't you want to know for sure before doing something you might regret!!

TBH I think the worst is when you're the one doing the dumping, and then when your life gets rid of all the **** that was causing your head to think "Finish finish" you realise "WTF have I done?!?!"

    I disagree.

I have never been dumped before and even if i thought I was going to be, I would do it first instead. He said it happens to everybody at some stage or another. I am just wondering if you all have the same view too? I do not think it is the case at all.

I concur. Never been dumped. Never had a serious enough relationship to even cause the risk of this. Dumping is damage limitation, kinda like saying "I made a crap choice of partner, I can't live with it so I'll just push it away and hope it disappears". T'is a mugs game.

Unfortuneatly it's rarely that simple, and if you love someone you're more likely to want to work through whatever problem is causing the breakup. And when you love someone, and they dump you, and their best friend tells you they still love you......you see where I'm going with this? There's just no hard and fast way of knowing, and it'll always hurt.

The tactic is too dump her before she dumps you or if she's getting too close to you (Cos she'll definitely dump you when she finds out about those bodies)
