im going purely to see the pixies, i know the chillis are going to be a huge let down after seeing them in slane over the summer. they were brilliant there only because of the dvd being recorded.

I think if enough Pixies/FB fans showed up, gathered from all over europe... then maybe we could outnumber the Chilli fans, and boo the chillis off the stage

Ah I don't have a problem with the Chillis, I thought 'By the way' was reasonably good... still though, I'm disgusted that the Pixies are the supporting band, and that I'd have to pay big fat RHCP prices to see them.

Either way you think about it, the gig is going to be great. Ibought a chilis ticket cause big gig n all in the hope of good support and then they announced the pixies. They even put ads on at time saying just pixies and chili's small thing at the end

i think this is great. at least they are coming back and to support such a great band as the chilis is great too. i wish i cud go to see them but it's too expensive!:(

I heard sum rumours today that the pixies are now headlining.......... dunno if the adds they saw on TV were just arse ways. I dont watch much TV anymore so I haven't seen them.

The ads are gone weird. They trying to get all the pixies fans. Alot of chili's fans are waiting for the new album to come out first before they buy tickets so but pixies mainly on ad's will sell more tickets right now.

if the pixies get booed, ill be starting a riot, noone can get away with booing te pixies.
i hope they get to play a nice long set and dont get treated like a normal warm up, who usually get something like 45mins to get on stage play all the stuff and get off again.

I heard someone say that too, but I saw it this evening...

...and it in fact advertises "The Pixies, special guests to the Red Hot Chilli Peppers".

I think it's a good move, and a sign that it's more of a double headline than a main act and a support (though it will always be a RHCP show...)

But It hardly matters what order / who's name is first - 2 great bands are going to play a great gig - that's it !

still, a valid assertion i believe.
rhcp arent that bad, im a pixies fan myself but have been to a litany of concerts.
i have seen clips on tv of the rhcp live, and they look like they could be worth going to.
i dont like u2, but ive seen some of the dvd, and its one of the concerts i regret not going to...
anyway, the pixies!!!
my sister has seen them twice in their original incarnation (national concert hall and sfx(not sure about latter venue)) and she said they were amazing.

ive seen pictures of charles recently tough, whooaaah that guy is big
