    Cork people know.
Turns out the school jumper is from a school in Dublin. The picture was first distributed in Cork though.

That just fucks up everybody's theories now doesn't it? ;)

I'm more and more convinced that it's a photoshopped pic too. Some mother complained, and the now the Gardai are onto a red herring.

See what I'm talking about? No proof, no citations, just "it turns out". No offense seamus, but really, you should know better...

I heard it was from Zimbabwe, imported via Egypt by Tai Chi practising monks from Islamabad. It's made from finest goats minges, enhanced by a delightful soupcon of spunk from a rhesus monkey. The photo was actually taken by David Bailey in 1978, and subsequently recoloured in the late eighties. The setting was Casablanca and a standard 35mm lens was used, however the lighting was completely artificial because there was a total eclipse of the sun that day. The subject, Imogen von Bueller or Paris, was eighty-two at the time, but she took an unusual concoction of cocaine, heroin and hashish that morning, which she said made her feel "sixty years younger". Absolutely true!

You do realise the police can release Very little info as its a minor involved (or supposedly?)

Tbh i think the girl is a stupid **** (no pun intended) for letting some take it on a picture phone. whatever bout a normal picture but a picture phone?

Oh yeah and left right and centre someone is saying "i know her, good ride :) " so as to get attention. or girls who look like her who want the attention are saying "thats meh pusseh on de camerah!"

i have no sympathy for anyone who starts something themselves. Theres so many different stories at this point i dont believe anything in particular. Did anyone see question time last night? They had a minister from FF on (correct me if im wrong) and he was saying how he thinks no one under the age of 18 should be sold a camera phone to stop child porn.
What rubbish these people come out with!
If i was the gardaí i really would have told them/her to bugger off. Its up to people what they want to send on their phones and i dont think that has anything to do with anyone else.

Don't forget that everyone seems to have a good mate who knows the girl or bloke involved personally. My brother mentioned that one of his mates knew who it was last week and I nearly broke down laughing.

Indeed. Ban cameras, that's what I say. And minors. And the Interwebulator. And anything else that could be used to corrupt anyone, even ministers from FF. Brown paper bags and idiocy are out then as well.

They should also ban SMS's aswell as MMS cause people can send bold words that might offend via SMS. THey should BAN voice calls too, people could shout loudly down the phone at you.

The girl is from Walkinstown in Dublin. That's where the message originated from, the school jumper has the ST. Pauls Crest. The Garda have used phone tracing equipment and software to trace the MMS back to Dublin numbers and then to the school. The photo has not been edited and it is not the first picture message ever with an adult theme.

    Link

The girl has been identified as a 14 year old from Clondalkin dublin. She has admitted to Gardai that she is the person in the Image. I hope the peddlers and their apologists are proud of their actions.

    Is that the doorbell ?

She goes to St Pauls in Walkinstown, allegedly. Are you thick to make a statement like that?

EDIT : Shouldnt have included info that I did

I hope the stupid girl is proud of her actions.

Thanks for the link. I'd actually spotted it before now, and so should have retracted my earlier question to Emmo. Apologies Emmo, but usually a link or something is better when claiming something such as you did.

I understand that she wasnt that silly in all fairness. In as far as I understand this was taken by some boyfriend and from there it was sent onto other phones in a malicious way.

Despite what you might have heard the quality of the photo is decent enough, allegedly and the photo has not been doctored.

More than one school in Walkinstown has been raided, St Paul's, The Assumption and Drimnagh Castle have all been investigated.

    EDIT

    Shouldnt have included that info

Might I suggest you as not being the standard youngster then when you were 14.
Kids know what's goin' on now a hell of alot earlier.

At 14 I certainly knew what was going on with my genitals.

I knew what was going on with my genitals doesn't mean i was gonna get the oppurtunity to show them off in a photo for a partner.

oh dear. shot down in flames.

kids are growing up far too fast these days (damn i'm starting to sound old) but i have to say, i was up to a fair bit of mischief from when i was 11 & 12 onwards, but not nearly to that extent until i was well into my teens.

Ireland is certainly well behind the rest of europe in the 'what young kids get up to' stakes though. the UK is worse, and my sister lives in holland, and at 14 those 2 would be very slow starters.

in all fairness, it's very likely that it's been going on for years, but it's the first time someone has taken a picture of it. the problem here isn't that it's happening, but that with photographic evidence of it it's impossible for people to deny that it's happening, and happening to people that they might know.

all we need now is photographic evidence of a preist up to no good and we can get the whole thing out in the open and stop denying there's a problem.

it's kinda like the prostitution thing in thailand. the government doesn't even officially acknowledge that prostitution exists there, so if it doesn't exist, they don't have to do anything about it because it isn't there.

the fact of the matter is, that irish teens (and probably preteens at this stage in the 10-12 bracket) are having sex and chances are they've been doing it for quite a while. now someone has a photo of a girl in her early teens in a sexually explicit pose, which means if she's doing that then chances are she's comfortable enough with her body to be doing a lot more.

the real question is, do we want to sweep it under the carpet and pretend it was just a one off or realise it was happening all along under our noses and do something about it. get rid of the stuck up prissy attitude to pre-marital sex and start giving kids proper sex education and make sure they are at least sensible about it if they are going to do it (and they are, whether we like it or not) before we're in real trouble.

i'm not saying we should be putting condom machines in school toilets, but kids should at least know the facts so if they are going to start having sex they know a little bit about what they are doing.
