If you received the photo, knew it was the photo, knew there was potential she was underage. Would you look at it anyway, or delete it if you could without seeing it. and why?

Yes - BUT it the film was passed by the Censor (an exemption allowed in the Act) and was given an appropiate rating - showing the film before it had been given a rating would have been illegal because of it's content)

This picture is supposed to have started doing the rounds in secondry schools right?
What i'm wondering is: If an underage kid (say 15) is caught with a picture of another underage kid (say 15) thats naked, like this picture thats doing the rounds, is the kid considered a paedo in the eyes of the law or how is it dealt with? is it all to do with the age of consent between minors?

This whole thing reminds me of that girl in u.l. a few years back whose naked pictures taken by her then boyfriend in Kilmurray student village started doing the rounds on email. First in u.l. and then every college in ireland. Same load of explanations; broke up with b.f. who sent them around, a mate robbed his camera etc.
Cant remember how that one panned out, think he was expelled...feck it cant remember. very embarrasing for the girl. but one couldnt help smirking when ye saw her around college. childish i know

as was said before : it was only a matter of time before something similar happend with picture phones.

But theres no wat to know if it is the picture. If I receive a picture the only thing I know about it before I open it is the person who sent it to me.If I did receive it I would delete it straight away.

its kind of a huminatarian forum style question. In theory what would you do?
Kmart6 says delete, but would you look first, if you could know what it was first?

With the face and the boby part in question blacked out.
People who I work with describing it as horrificly lewd porn that would make a huwa blush, em, I've seen worse by accident when searching for pictures on Google for non-p0rno subjects.

If someone did post it, that would be pretty dumb. We'd all be caught in a garda sting operation for looking up a kiddie porn site.

    Or possibly not.

Yeah that picture has been in my school for days (Dublin) loads of other schools in Dublin north side and south side have seen it its being going around for weeks

Shes in her school jumper (thats all) with wat everyone makes out to be a Loretto crest on it and shes apparently in her bedroom. And apparently shes 15 or 16.
She cheated on her fella then he sent the picture to a few friends who sent it all around the place

Apparently her dad came on the radio or news (not sure which) pleading with anyone who had the picture to delete it and that it had ruined his daughters life.... pfff she shouldnt have cheated in the first place so the jokes on her in a way yet its still a horrible thing to happen id hate it

Bet she will never let anyone take a picture of her again....

Only one way to find out. Here's a version of the photo, I've blurred out the face, so, mods, PLEASE take it easy on me! :)

And you can obviously tell how many people view it.

That isn't the point. I just used any old image to see how many people would actually look at the image if they thought it was the phone image.

yep has been goin round my school for at least 2 weeks. its been on nearly everyones phones but a lot of people have began to realise that its only helping spread it and have deleted and this is before it came on the news. It's not loreto by the way. I heard from a mate of mine in holy faith that she was actually in 3rd in their school in dublin so i dont know. When i first saw it, it doesnt come across as child porn. By the looks she had willingly taken the photo and i mean what does she expect by takin it with a camera, the only reason they're their is to pass around. I do feel sorry for her though. The reason why it doesnt seem like child porn to most people is because she is around our(15-18) age and whats the difference to us seeing it in a photo or up close. The average person of my age would have more than likely been with at least one girl in that position and with the age of consent at 16 can that make any sense? I feel it would be much different if it were some one say in their 20's or later looking at it due to the age gap. Also just to put this into perspective it has supposedlt come from cork, been to limerick, galway and it is in every school in dublin even girls schools. The gardai are a bit behind on this one

The "Diane" character was 17 (played by a 19 year old actress), the age of consent in the UK is 16, 17 here. At no point in Trainspotting did I see her nether regions.

To stop people contriving situations ("ah, but this is an 18 year old model"). Remember the aim of the act is to stop child pornography and the consequent child abuse (child pornography reduces the precedence threshold for abuse). It matters not to the abuser whether the model is 18, once she looks underage and he can get his "fun".

IIRC, she does a full frontal nude scene in it. Are you counting pubic hair as nether regions?
