Cinema Rant

    Not really a rant...

Went to see "Intermission" in the Savoy, Screen 1 with a friend of mine. It was a mid-week afternoon show, so the place was fairly sparse with cinemagoers. Sat in the middle row near the back, near the left aisle, with the rest of the row to my right empty, save for a couple on the right near the aisle (Him: tracksuit, trainers, scanger accent - Her: same decor, hoop earrings, etc...)

They were talking (arguing) loudly before the show, but settled once the film began. However, when it came to the scene where Colm Meaney's character is on the street with the film crew, and he approachs some junkie (a real, bona fide drug addict they just found on the street) suddenly the guy to my right bursts out:

"AWW LOOK, THERES HEWWWW-IE! LOOK IT'S HEWIE! STRUNG OUT AGAIN MAN, WHA'?" he shouted at his girlfriend and to the rest of the cinema. Thought it was pretty funny they knew the junkie personally :)
