My microwave clock which is directly above the oven loses time like this so they are always different within a day or so of me adjusting it. Very definition of a trivial annoyance.

If I didn’t need them to work the appliances I’d put tape over one of them!

I’ll take that over the cashiers in my local who have a conversation with each other while I’m paying for my groceries

Or ones having a conversation in a foreign language on a headset.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Google trending results… Yellow Rain Warning.

WTF… the rain will be yellow!?!

Oh wait, no it means it's a yellow level warning for rain.

I find "have a good day/nice day" ok to be honest. At least the person is making an effort at friendly service. It beats "are you ok?" as the opening greeting. That one really annoys me and sounds so indifferent.

supposed to be getting a delivery today, a new wallet. despite being ordered 8 days ago now it’s yet to be dispatched. There is a note on the website of this UK retailer that Irish clients may experience delays due to a contract courier here going bust ( Fastway ) but it’s months since they folded. 🧐

Courier / logistics is competitive with rakes of options. Because one you are using goes to the wall how can you be so incompetent not to have a backup / contingency ? the item weighs .2 of a kilogram..put it in a jiffy bag, seal it, label it and give it to a courier or mail company, it’s that simple..a multinational too. 😵‍💫 I want to give you money in return for giving me my order, how can it be this complicated?!

I got a reply on social media. Turns out not to be a courier issue but a general incompetence/disinterested issue..

“ apologies for the delay your order is currently processing in our warehouse, please allow more time..”

so 9 days since I ordered it and “ please allow more time…” for ‘processing’…

Sold something on adverts yesterday for 12 euro, lad came to pick it up and gave me a handful of coins that I didn't count until he was gone.

2 euro short. Not a huge amount or anything, just the cheek of him!

Couple of neighbours out spending their time and effort on a warm enough Saturday cutting all the grass verges and doing cleanup…3.45 pm and they’re going since about 10.45 this morning ….the grass was getting on to be measured in feet not inches such has been the disinterest and derogation of Dublin City council…who haven’t shown up to do it since covid, probably having seen community’s step in during the pandemic some smart assed manager had a lightbulb moment 💩💡

The Council narrowed a road here locally to put in a two lane cycle path . Cars cant overtake and its so narrow that my car bleeps everytime a bus passes .
So yesterday I am driving to pick up a child and huge delays on that road

Guess why ? A cyclist on the road delaying everyone who cant overtake him while he ignores the brand new cycle lane

It surely needs to be law now if a cycle lane is available cyclists must use it and not the road

Ah no, they can't use cycle lanes because they are usually pot holed, unlike the roads, and full of leaves and rubbish. Also its no fun having vehicles passing you on the road unimpeded.

Bc we had had a bit of a tiff earlier on yesterday, sib asked me if I had gotten all of my work done, I didn't answer as I dont have the patience to deal with next level denial after mouse gate.

So I told him the truth I cant work at home anymore as each room in the house is saturated with next doors party substances and this means I unknowingly loose focus and dont do things correctly or forget, as that's what substances do to me.

The response was a heavy sign and an exasperated "Why dont you just move to another room then"? Ta why is it men who seem to assume I cant figure out alternatives to a situation by myself and point out the most obvious (still unworkable) one!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

woken up at 8.10 by my neighbours dog going batshît crazy because its owners are outside playing with it…its knocking over garden furniture, barking, yelping, and neighbours despite it being 8.10 am and Sunday think it’s hilarious, her as is customary with her fúckin ridiculously loud screeching foghorn laugh, then comedy schhhhshing the dog ..repeatedly over and over. Not feeling the better of it and I have to go out in a bit.

While I agree there are many cycle lanes that are a total mess (and some that shouldn't even be there) I feel its quite reasonable to have stretches that are up to a minimum standard where their use is mandatory.

Wake me up when it's all over.

I attempted giving this fella the evil eye a couple of times, but he was twice my size and he seemed to be enjoying kicking the seat for the most of the flight.

whilst it’s not a public holiday per say, it’s Father’s Day, it’s the weekend and it’s Sunday, yet a property being renovated nearby is having building work done which if I’m right without going to the bother of looking it up.. is not legal.

At least he had shoes on. I had someone's stinky toes coming through the gaps and touching my arms, once. Ugh, it was so gross I still shudder. I turned around and gave them what's for and they had the gall to look offended.

On a flight a few months back, the guy behind me, while we were waiting for take off kept fidgeting with the lap tray and generally foostering.

It didn't seem to occur to him that all of that translated into annoyance and discomfort for the person whose seat the damn thing was attached to - mine. I had to ask him to stop. He was apologetic and did stop, more or less.

Closed my account with a certain broadband supplier and was 2 days over the month for notice so got a bill for 87 Euro. I rang and queried this as it should have been for 2 days, was told it automatically goes for full month and I would be refunded.

not happy but fair enough, got next bill with credit for 79 euro ( end of may) and still no sign of refund in bank

Rang them today and questioned this and he said "hold on and I'll do that now ". I said why was it not done before this and he said we had to wait for you to ring.

I HATE DEALING WITH ANY OF THESE ABSOLUTE SCAMMING *******

Closed Eir account 5 months ago. They owe us €16 and no sign of returning it . Instead we get a letter telling us we are €16 in credit each month. What does a letter cost over a euro? I'm going to wait till its been 16 months before asking for a refund. Note already have filled in the form for a refund 4 months ago.

Wake me up when it's all over.

How many accounts are forgotten about when this happens ?

So quick to take money but wont refund unless customer chances it up

I hate this country for lack of regulations on all these companies in ireland who think they can do what they like because there will be f*** all consequences for them

Keeping on the theme of customer service agents, I was lucky enough to get through on the phone but banging my head against a wall trying to get them to do what I need them to do.

Bought some garden furniture from a large chain of hardware stores, started assembling it a few weeks ago only to discover one of the pieces is missing and another piece duplicated instead. Rang their service desk and explained, they say they need to arrange a new order and take back the faulty one. I explain it’s half assembled, I already spent the guts of 3 hours putting it together, and I just need the missing part.
They suggest they still do this and I 'just' take the missing part out of the box. I say I never saw a delivery company hang around while you do something like that, in any case these boyos left it standing up against my wall without ringing the bell the last time so I don’t have any confidence that this would happen!
I suggested they book in a click and collect at a nearby store and at least with a human in the loop I'd have more chance of just getting the part I need. Computer says there are none in stock, it has to come from a warehouse in the UK. I say I can see a load of them in stock around the country and could even add one to my basket in a store not too far away.

Now they are talking about emailing the store manager to see if they have the spare part in stock. I explained it’s not a spare part I am looking for! I want them to open the box of a new one and take out the part that was missing in mine and give it to me while I am standing there to collect it. I have zero confidence in what they have put in the email, I suspect the store manager will come back nd say they can't do whatever it is!
Meanwhile we have the nicest weather so far this summer and I have a half built piece of furniture 🙄 give me strength, I wish I could just speak to the store manager myself!
