I’m wondering having Facebook messaged a business at 13.05 today, when they’ll reply ? … 15.50 now…. Of course the local store haven’t answered their phones yesterday or today, they have no customer services email, are only contactable via social media…. The fault is on their side, an overdue, well overdue delivery, but I can’t get to talk or engage with any of their staff…through any means, phone or social media. I guess I’ll be kept wondering….

When making ice cubes in freezer surely there is precise amount of time it takes to create an ice cube?
Answer= no there isn’t ! Riddled with variables. Size of tray , amount of stuff in freezer, plastic/silicone/ metal trays

    hot or cold water -

Mpemba effect. Under certain conditions, hot water can actually freeze faster than cold water. This occurs because hot water experiences rapid evaporation (reducing the volume left to freeze) and can alter the convection currents within the tray, accelerating heat transfer.

    -/

So vague answer = 2-4 hours depending on variables

Guff about stuff, and stuff about guff.

It might be in this folder. I sometimes get messages into this folder from people I don’t know. I won’t get a notification of any sort about it either.

Wondering why there are no ‘characters’ any more, the older ones I knew are dying and I don’t see any coming through.

Is it people aren’t spending as much time and money in the pub ? Was it all drink related ?

Why are the Irish flags always flying in really rough areas?

They are always in the worst estates in any town I see them flying.

if you don't know why there's been a resurgence in irish flag flying, you've not been paying attention to the news…

I wonder over the course of a year how much stock goes missing from a supermarket. Like if you just took Tesco for example and just the food side of things. How much would it be across Ireland and is it insurable. Or is it priced into the cost of items?

i heard recently that (apparently) avocado theft shot through the roof when self service tills were introduced. people were putting them through as spuds.

IIRC cheese theft is the biggest issue that supermarkets face.

Ive a brother in law who used to work in supervalu. He said between 3 and 4% mostly by the staff they reckon rather than customers they think which is weird I think. Ud have thought it would be very hard for staff to steal with storeooms covered with cameras and bags are stored in lockers.

Why do motor bikers hang one foot just off the road as they take off from a stop.

And they stay like that for ages - they're well up to speed but keep the foot 2" off the road.

I know why they are flying them, but I wonder why its only in the rough estates.

im totally against it by the way and think they are morons for flying the flag for that reason.
