    #MEGA MAKE EUROPE GREAT AGAIN

    A “hero” maker? A “poster boy” ?

I haven’t watched the video but nor do I wish to- but I assume legitimate force was used given the terrible situation unfolding, so absolutely no crime committed by this person.

Northern Ireland is full of symbolism as we know- some might give a few pound as a way of recognising the bravery of the act- but I reckon many more will give as some sort of symbolic token gesture as an anti immigrant stance- mostly loyalist bigots I’d imagine as they’re the ones behind these riots

Lumpen racist scum. But the pretend "Christian" fascists like David Quinn and the alcoholic mess Irish fascists like Ian O'Doherty who depend on American/English/Russian/Israeli pump-priming for their living will only ever tut tut at this and will only ever look at these horrific crimes from the "perspective" of the fascist pogromists.

Serious questions need to be asked of the likes of Independent Newspapers that they employ columnists who appeal to fascists and fascists only.

The handiwork of the racist mob last night, how very brave of them to burn out innocent families

Eerily reminiscent of the the 1970s in Belfast. Unfortunately the Venn diagram of Loyalist yobbos and far-right agitiators has a large intersection area. It's totally inexcusable and an illegitimate form of protest.

It is indicative of a wider problem however. The marginalised in society are lashing out at immigrants across the Western world. This part of society has been abandoned by their traditional representation in the left / centre left and has swung violently to the right to try to assert their position.

Reform UK would draw most of its vote from the lower socio economic strata. The left have abandoned them, instead focusing on identity politics and being pious. It's a sad situation and the centre ground is being lost.

Thread title should be changed to scumbag Belfast riots tbh. What is unsurprising is the motivation behind last nights wanton thuggery is being completely ignored. This is what certain cohorts want, deflect, obfuscate and ignore the ever increasing damage being done by unchecked immigration and focus solely on the tramps that carried out these despicable acts of vandalism. This attitude is every bit as bad and even more damaging than the scum burning houses and cars last night.

The far right openly celebrated the lynching of Yves Kabila by Arnotts security on the basis of him being an alleged shoplifter.

Presumably they wanted Brendan Mullin lynched too - actually probably not because he's a white former Irish rugby international who as far they would be concerned is "respectable" criminal.

NOW it turns out that the far right's Princess Diana figure in Belfast is a Scottish junkie with 200+ convictions who attacked a stroke victim on her release from hospital.

I condemn the attack on him because unlike the far right posters I'm a human being with empathy and nobody should have to suffer an attack like he did, no matter what they've done.

But the reality is, if Stephen Ogilvie had suffered the same attack by a white man, the far right would likely have been celebrating such an attack.

They celebrated the lynching of Yves Kabila, remember.

Man ‘assaulted stroke victim hours after she was released from hospital’

What motivates people to attack non-white people and burn them out of their houses and cars?

MOD NOTE: I had considered closing this thread as it's linked to the immigration thread. However it's an evolving situation and for the meantime it warrants discussion in its own right.

That does not mean posters can continue to drag up old grievances from other threads, accuse the OP of sidestepping a threadban or personal attacks. There will be a zero tolerance approach as most of you have been here long enough to know that is against CA forum rules.

    Stick to the topic.

Its mindless thuggery and racism at work, very simple to analyse really. What happens after such events world wide now it seems.

When immigrant numbers become so high that communities feel like minorities in their own neigjbourhoods.

Would last nights thuggery have occurred if an asylum seeker had not attempted to decapitate someone in the middle of a street?

No, it wouldn't. Thats the motivation, but you know this and questioning it is frankly odd.

However those that engaged in the threatening, racist, abusive, violent, mobbish behaviour last night just need an excuse, any excuse, for their thuggery.

Just because some people engaged in the threatening, racist, abusive, violent, mobbish behaviour does not at all alter the fact that an asylum seeker attempted to decapitate someone in the middle of a street. A person that should not have been allowed in the country in the first place.

The failure of their government in it's most fundamental duty: to protect them from invasion.

I agree that FFG let our immigration "process" become a complete joke over the years and hopefully the soon-to-be-implemented EU Migration Pact will put some structure on certain aspects of asylum processing. We do face a situation of increased migration numbers due to war, climate change, famine etc so we need to get on top of the situation. However these riots by brainless racist thugs only help the government escape their responsibilities.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

Mindless far right thuggery and racism - which crucially is deliberately whipped up by a powerful, extremely rich worldwide cabal of fascists and Nazis including Elon Musk, Nigel Farage, Stephen Yaxley-Lennon and their American, English, Russian and Israeli bot and troll networks.

Not to mention the usual Loyalist and Unionist cowards and the Loyalist allied plastic "paytriots" in this state.

I don't follow the reasoning behind this post. In what way does this help the govt escape their responsibilities?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,681 ✭✭✭✭A Dub in Glasgo

You first say the despicable attack on Monday night was the motivation that caused 'people to attack non-white people and burn them out of their houses and cars'. You then go on to say that the racists who carried out last nights attacks just need any excuse to do so which negates your reason for their motivation.

For clarity, the person who carried out the despicable attack was granted asylum by the then Tory UK government in 2023. Many of those government ministers are now agitating for Reform UK.

You can't beat burning out a bus as a means to solve all of your problems.

These are Loyalists who do not care about skin colour but just pure hatred for others. It wasn't that long ago which they were burning Catholics out of their houses, and now that they are attacking innocent working families who are not white it's ok? They cried when BLM protests burnt and rioted in the USA but now they are just the same. Punishing local communities and businesses because they want to. Serious lack of common sense once again.

I have seen the immigration controls at Dublin airport, and its not a robust system.

A bunch of uniformed staff standing around.. talking and laughing.

Take for example, the Channel Islands - its taken very seriously ….. anyone caught entering the country illegally.. they are sent back same day.

All the focus is on far right racist thugs. None of it is on our shoddy/lengthy immigration/asylum processing system.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 166 ✭✭XopherIE

So if you talk and laugh your not good at your job? You sound like a right barrel of laughs.

These people feel let down by their own government time and time again. They think their being treated like second class citizens while immigrants come into their communities and are prioritised for everything.

That doesn't absolve them of their responsibilities, rather it heightens it imo.

The govt have many responsibilities, their inneficiencies are in many areas, but their failures doesn't absolve them of their responsibilities.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10,087 ✭✭✭✭Macy0161

My brother lives in Jersey, so I'm a regular visitor - more robust checks in Dublin imo. Unless that's just because I'm white.

And when Loyalist mobs were burning out Catholics, did they feel let down by their government or did they just hate Catholics?

Billy, they are mindless thugs who like to riot. They achieve nothing.

What are they doing in the Hyacinth house?

I don't blame the bogus AS.

I blame the Govt who give them leave-to-remain. I specifically blame Roderic O'Gorman TD and Catherine Day.

I specifically blame FF and FG who won't remove tens of thousands of bogus AS.

Well it was hardly a lynching now was it.

You really need to get better at trolling, it just doesn't really work when it's as obvious as you make it.
