Is it the 10.25" infotainment screen ? UK models had a heatpump for cabin heating but only had the 7kW AC onboard charger (Irish cars had the 11kW). The UK cars "may" have had the ventilated seats, whereas we had the heated rear seats and the allow pedals. The UK ones may have had the led headlights, whereas we still had the normal bulbs.

The only thing I had to ask to be done at service time was to lubricate the window rubbers and the boot struts - when closing the front windows, they had started going up and then suddenly going back down as though encountering an obstruction, while the boot lid wasn't opening to full height and resulted in a couple of clonks to the head.😃 All resolved as part of the service and neither were charged for. Also, check for rusting on brake discs through underuse (due to overuse of regen paddles) - my rear ones started to make a grinding noise just a day or two before the test, so I got my local fella to clean them and did some deliberately heavy braking several times afterwards - that sorted it out. I've used the brakes more often since then and the problem hasn't recurred

Apart from that, if you haven't used the regen paddles before then it can take a few goes to get a feel for them. There are four levels - off, 1, 2 and 3. Leaving regen off and taking your foot off the accelerator is akin to putting an ICE car in neutral and coasting. Level 1 is like taking your foot off the accelerator in top gear of an ICE car, in that it will slow you down gently, while level 2 is like braking moderately and level 3 is like braking more firmly (you'll still get maximum braking from standing on the pedal though). You pull and release the left paddle towards you to go up the levels, the right one to go down the levels. If you have the car set at anything below level 3, you can pull and hold the left one to have the car brake firmly - when you let the paddle go, it will go back to what it was set at before. To turn on the auto-braking (which will slow/stop you if the car in front slows down, even if you're not using cruise), you can pull and hold the right paddle - tbh, I've only used that once as I didn't really like it.

Expensive coolant changes are due every 36k miles; if due or near due
ask for it to be done, check aircon, uneven tyre wear on the inside,
confirmation the warranty is still intact in the case a car that was
previously damaged or missed service history.

I have the service book and all looks good and checked with Kia. Need to check Tyres

Bigger Screen but not sure if it has a heat pump need to check on that take it look under bonnet?

Never used the paddles on car before and looking at YT videos might have to set it to Auto

Car will get another service if we decide to buy it but based on motorcheck, SOH all looks good for the moment

Had our 3 yr service a few weeks back, only realised the air con and heating is no longer working.

A quick Google suggests it can be when the filter replacement was not done properly (and we had that done).

Anyone had similar? Going to call dealer as surely its covered under warranty?

Is the heat and cooling not working or is the fans not blowing air. If the latter, check the filter

Filter is accessed via the glove box, not too hard to get at. There's YouTube videos showing it.

Its blowing air, just not the the right temperature.(heat or cooled air).

Another thing that can catch people, is the car in eco drive mode? Because that screws with the climate control.

Also the heat and AC buttons, make sure they are turned on.

I know it's simple things, but sometimes overlooked.

AC does have a coolant loop where things can go wrong, but heating is just a resistive heating, nothing really to go wrong with it.

Yes, I remember the first time I tried turning up the cabin temperature and thinking there must have been a fault as the vents were continuing to blow cold air, before spotting the "Heat" button and twigging that I had to press that first. Still seems a bit of a dumb arrangement to me, but I'm sure there's a good reason for it.

Depending on the trim level of your car, it may be equipped with a heat pump as mine is. I suspect that's a large part of the reason why I seem to get such good motorway range in winter, as it uses far less energy to warm the cabin air when the outside temperature is low.

Looking to change up from my e-Niro which has been a great car to a larger EV - something like an EV6 or another similar sized car

    my early thoughts

thinking of EV6 but boot does not seem very practical and

new Mazda 6e looks the business

    Peugeot e3008

BZ4X Touring is good but the plastic wheel arches look awful in the pics

not interested in Tesla, BYD, ionic 5 or VW.

would like the car to have V2L and decent warranty of min 5 yrs

I'm going to do a few dealer visits in week or two

Anyone made the move already or suggestions?

Enyaq might be a good shout unless you consider it’s a VW which it is only better ?
