Anyone here for Wexford, I read back a bit and seen that 1-5 had been called for interview, I'm 20ish so just wondering has it progressed any further, waiting patiently!

In our small office ,5 co have retired/moved on over the last year and it does not look like they will be replaced.

An IT upgrade might count for some of the workload .

Also no tco recruited thus far.

    2023,5 tco

    2024,3 tco

    2025,1 tco

I'm waiting for clearance, they said I should hear in a few weeks and what dept I got.

I'm starting as a TCO on a 14 week contract soon.

I got offered an 8 week TCO contract with the social welfare last year but turned it down as its not worth it. In my opinion there is too much reliance on the TCO panels and they should be eliminated. Anyone on them wants a permanent postion anyway

I was a TCO for 2 years in Social Welfare had to go through an internal competition for permanent.. I’m still waiting for an offer. The whole system is a joke.. they don’t want TCOs in my opinion 8 weeks in social welfare office is pointless it’d take you 8 weeks to get up to speed.

Count your blessings if you get a permanent CO position.

If you were tco for 2 years you probably got 2 chances in the internal co competition over 2 years.Plenty of good tco never got permanent co because the permanent vancancies never materialised.

Heard Limerick are interviewing from top 10 OOM this week so hopefully that is the start of the process and they will interview a lot as im down the list a bit so fingers crossed

No I only had one chance, wasnt there long enough first time round. There are 2/3 vacancies in the office right now, just have to hope HR pull the finger out.

The problem is hr pick off co panel,co internal panel and mobility panel in equal or so measures so best of luck.

They havent begun CO interviews for the open comp for my county, nobody has came from mobility panel, Ive been told this by the AP there.. so fingers crossed but it is what it is!

They're moving fast with TCO in Clare (OOM 75) as I interviewed last Thursday and already received my results back this afternoon.

Delighted I passed, but fingers crossed I see a contract longer than 8 weeks. I fall into the same cohort who previously mentioned that 8 weeks is genuinely not worth the hassle of signing off SW. It's unfortunate that 8 week contracts even exist.

Has anyone on the Dublin panel started their clearance yet? If so roughly what OOM would they be up to?

I've seen on the Boards of the previous competition (2024) that if you email Public Jobs they inform how many have been invited for the Clearance Stage

If you email them and discover, please post here also

I'm also curious to know how things are moving since I'm probably on the next batch of interviews

They still havent called for Offaly.. anyone else think all competitions are moving slower than normal this time around?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 28 philipper

Yes. All of the panels are so slow this time. Although it's not actually up to public appointments, it's up to the individual department to tell them they need staff.

This panel could end up like the last one, stalled for over a year and then panic at the last minute and extended.

Has anyone been called for Tipperary yet? I’m 94 so don’t know why I’m asking when I don’t think I’ve any chance of being called.

Didn’t make the HSE or ETB panels at all so just feeling very disappointed right now!

II made the Hse panel and the CO panel so far but heard nothing. Whats the ETB

Hi, I’m in Tipperary! I’m in the early 10’s & still haven’t been called. I have an interview for the ETB in the coming weeks. I know it’s a very stressful time for people. I’ve 3 applications on the go & I honestly can’t even see me getting a job out of this. Keep strong. I’ll let you know if I get called so you’ll know it’s moving along in Tipp ok

Hey everyone, I just emailed public jobs last week and they told me that nos 1-13 on the OOM for Limerick had been called to interview for the CO 2026 campaign with Public Jobs, in case anybody is interested.

I've successfully passed the Interview for Dublin, awaiting next steps.

Not sure what to expect given everything I've read here.

Im within the region of 50s-60s in the OOM for Dublin and have started clearance

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 10 MaxB2020

That’s good to know, my OOM is just under 110 for Dublin. Hopefully I’ll start clearance soon.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 192 ✭✭Tipp1991

Nope. I'm in the 50's and haven't heard a thing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 74 ✭✭tira11opm

Has anyone been placed in Westmeath for this competition? Or does anyone know what OOM has been reached for clearance? Partner just found out he passed this morning so wondering roughly the timeline for clearance to start ☺️ TIA

Cheers Claire. Seems that Limerick has only gone from 11 > 13 in the space of 2 weeks. Snails pace unfortunately.

I'll email again in two or three weeks time for an update.
