Oh my days, top ten or f..k then. Not a slightest chance to reach the interview stage for those who are beyond 10.

I’d say you guys are being a little inpatient (sorry), I know public jobs are definitely taking there time. But I know a good few people in the top ~50 getting jobs, and there all in Wexford/Kilkenny. Ok they were waiting a good while for it (almost a year). Definitely try being bit more optimistic!

They must have come off the last panel because there's they're not coming off this year's panels. I have seen the message from pas that says they've only interviewed five from the co panel.

It is the same with the t c o panel. They have called three people off the t c o panel since last November. That is monumentally slow in comparison to every other year and in comparison to every other county. Kilkenny are clearly not requesting staff.

Anyone on here get called for Sligo or Roscommon yet?

Does anyone know how far down the list people were called in dublin?

My daughter got an email last week saying the system incorrectly scored her the first time around (she was in the 3000s) but they've rectified it and she's in the 1400s now.

I don’t know how far they have gotten but I’m in the 500s for Dublin and haven’t been called yet if that’s any type of gauge

To know exactly how many have been called for interview so far, you can email PAS .

I contacted them via the general email, they forwarded my email to the specific section responsible: CORecruitment@publicjobs.ie , they asked my Application ID and answered me very quickly.

I'm around the 260 's and haven't been called for interview yet. Last time I emailed them (2 weeks ago) they told me that they had called up to OOM 157 here in Dublin.

I just haven't emailed them again to not email them too much 😅. If you email (or anyone else here) please come back to tell us what they said 😉

I'm top 3 in Sligo and haven't heard anything yet

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,232 ✭✭✭padyjoe

    Ok, thanks!

Trying to be optimistic, the only thing is chewing away at it is the slow pace and you don't know what to expect in the waiting game.

I got my OOM for HSE aswell after interview for Dublin and south east region so I am officially on the panel. My area is south east and I am oom 40s and I was wondering if anyone knew if that is including Dublin or would that be both Dublin and south east because obviously there is a massive difference in me getting a position depending on the answer

They're still pulling from the nationwide TCO panel in Clare. My oom was 75 and interview this Thursday.

Hi everyone! I hope someone can help or has experience. I'm in the top 10 for my county, interviewed and passed but heard nothing since. If they invite for you for an interview, is it likely you'll get a role from it? Obviously if you pass clearance etc

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 432 ✭✭Tommysocks11

Are u on the tco panel?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 30 colms17

Yes, the one from past November. I'm hoping I can do well enough in the interview and secure a TCO contract long enough until my OOM is reached from the permanent CO panel.

I understand summer TCO contracts can be short duration, just enough to cover somebody's annual leave over summer. Really hoping it's longer than that. Naively praying for a 6 month contract.

honestly depends where you are and whether or not a role comes up. For example carlow is very small so the vacancies are fewer. But yeah, in theory, once you pass the interview, providing they get to your number then yes, you should be called and being in the top ten certainly improves your chances of them reaching that number. But this panel runs out the end of October. We are halfway through and for some reason, tco panels this year are not moving like they have in previous years.

Minimum 8 weeks, we had a TCO last summer and there contract was 8 weeks nothing more. Seems like they are only interested in TCO for summer cover in recent years. CO comp seems to be very slow outside Dublin slower than normal.

Has anyone who has been successful at interview been called to begin clearance yet?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 17 eggy1232

no I haven’t heard a thing top 150 I emailed clearance a few weeks ago and never got back to me

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4 flipper222

Yea im top 100, I knew it was never going to be a speedy process but thought they might've gotten the ball rolling by now at least

Emailed PAS asking for an update on Limerick and here's what they said

"To date we have called candidates placed from 1 - 11 on the Order of Merit from Stage 1 to interview for Co. Limerick."

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1 civilserviceco

Got an interview invite today for later next week. My OOM is in the 220s for County Dublin. Has anyone in the 1–50 OOM range had their clearance checks completed yet? If so, when did you receive them?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,304 ✭✭✭✭ArmaniJeanss

Just to keep people up-to-date on the rolling figures.

    OOM ~150 Dublin.
I did the interview last week, and got the 'successful' email early this week, but not called for clearance yet.

I'll keep ye posted as I roll through the inevitably slow system.

On reddit r/irishcivilservice there is a post today where someone in the OOM 80s Dublin (after successful interview) has NOT yet been called for clearance, and another post in reply says they have been called to start the clearance process with an OOM in the 20s. So that might be a guide to current progress.
(But it's reddit, so there's a non-negligible chance that people are lying or getting confused about which job or county they are talking about).

Probably be after the summer before the CO really starts taking on decent numbers , the previous 2024 Nationwide CO competition started slowly in spring 2024 before taking on good numbers in autumn/winter 2024 and was similar in 2025 .
The 2024 competition had people on a panel for 2 years and people were still been taken on from it in December 2025 so people need to be very patient, many people that get called have found other jobs as it goes on so long so they get through a lot of numbers quickly as the process goes on

8 week TCO contracts which a lot of this years are isn’t much use to a lot of people as it messes up social welfare and hardly worth the hassle of signing off and on

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 183 ✭✭Glitteringstar

Yeah its a waste of time as I said in a previous post, they only seem to be interested in summer cover with TCOs now.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,006 ✭✭✭✭Strazdas

Very odd why they weren't interviewing and offering longer TCO contracts to people in Jan, Feb, March and April. Perhaps the 2027 competition will be a more normal one and anyone who entered in 2026 has just been unlucky.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 158 ✭✭GippyGup

Like what are they doing for people on maternity leave? Very confusing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,006 ✭✭✭✭Strazdas

It's a bit peculiar how they only seem to be offering very short term contracts to cover summer leave - an eight week TCO contract is next to useless. One would hope this year has just been an aberration (for whatever reason) and they will return to doing things as normal with the 2027 competition.

They are barely hiring tcos this year. It has been said a million times the panels are not moving this year.
