    Got a free 2month trial for Metal

    Good to see the interest rate jump back up for a little while. It's a pity that I dont use any of the other features that you get with Metal

    I'm at the point, where the difference in interest gained, almost covers the monthly cost of a Metal account

    I had payzone take €10 off my Visa card some random Wednesday night as I watched TV at home. Got the card cancelled and charged back in case someone was trying out my card for nerfarious purposes. I tied my virtual MasterCard debit to my Garmin watch instead of my physical VISA just so if it ever happened again, I'd know where the compromise happened.

    This too shall pass.

    We're making a change to your plan terms
    Hi,

    We’re getting in touch about a change we're making to your plan terms.

    What's changing?
    We’re rolling out in-app call support to all members in Ireland.

    We're updating the terms to remove any mentions of the in-app call support as a benefit only available to Ultra, Premium, and Metal plans.

    You will still have access to in-app call support, and nothing about your experience will change.

    What do I need to do?
    You don't need to do anything for these changes to come into effect on 2nd August, 2026. However, if you’re unhappy with the changes, you can close your account or downgrade for free until 2nd August, 2026, but we'd be sad to see you go.

    To close your account, go to Your profile → Account → Close account, and follow the steps.

    To downgrade for free, go to Your Plan → Billing → Change plan → Downgrade to Standard → Proceed with downgrade, then tap I'm unhappy with plan changes.

    If you don't take any action, we'll assume you accept the changes. After 2nd August, 2026, fees for cancelling your plan may apply, depending on how long you've been on your plan for.

    Tap lounges and put in DUB

    They’re no longer dragonpass and are are now lounge key and as ultra now only show the Liffey lounge

    Anyone else having to re-enter all their bank details to top up despite everything being already saved on Revolut for years.

    Had a wire from e-trade to Revolut rejected and eventually returned this week, no idea why, used the exact same saved recipient that I successfully used before. Revolut premium support were no good while it was missing in limbo. They silently closed the wire tracing case and when I queried after the bot said the transaction confirmation document I gave them didn't have the recipient name on it, which it did. Luckily the money turned up in etrade. I'll be using Wise in future.

    No, but was told today that my "documents had expired" and had to re-upload photos of my driving licence and my own mugshot. Which is odd, as I just switched to them as my main bank back at the start of April.

    Yeah, had to do that a few weeks ago, standard banking operating process AFAIK.

    My auto top-up is still working, but I've to upload my PTSB card details inc pics even though it's already registered, hasn't changed and is working albeit not for manual top up.

    Nope. It is not odd….

    As well as standard checks, financail institutions do random checks - it is even possible to be checked more than twice in the same week!

    And from experience I can tell you we have had people upload different documents within the space of a few days - passports with different expiry dates and invoices with different addresses or issue dates are common. People who engage in this kind of stuff are often not well organised, so Monday they upload documents from one folder and on Friday the upload from a different folder etc…

    And as it is possible for an individual bank employee to be charged with crimes relating to money laundrying most people take it very seriously.

    Good news — we’ve increased the rate on your Instant Access Savings accounts from 2,25% AER¹ to 2,50% AER¹ for your Ultra plan.

    Your new rate is already live, so your savings are now earning at the higher rate.

    Its not from Revolut, its from the ECB upping interest rates.

    But Revolut are being much quicker to pass it along than we'd get from the traditional banks to be fair.

    I don't appear to have received my interest rate increase today. And it still says 2% on my app, when it should say 2.25% now. I received the email and app notification yesterday. Supposed to be effective immediately.

    Its the instant savings accounts not the flex investment accounts. Check which one you have as I thought same so I opened new instant savings accounts and moved the cash across.

    It shows the updated rate on my joint savings accounts but not my own individual one.

    It’s just the on demand savings accounts that have rose

    The ‘interes’ on flexible investments accounts is market related and nothing to do with yesterday’s rise

    It is confusing for sure

    It's an instant savings account I have.

    I just checked again and now the rate has been updated. I didn't receive the higher interest rate this morning though. Now that it's updated I'll receive it tomorrow.
