I bought a bag of jazzles and stupidly left them in the car. Now I have one gigantic jazzle that looks like the aftermath of a volcanic eruption in the candy kingdom.

Had a headache all day, I suspect it was the way I was sleeping last night.

Irish Ebay sellers who refuse to combine postage and say that their policy is to send every item individually.

That benefits nobody - not the seller, not the buyer, not An Post.

    End result: they've lost a €500+ sale because I don't fancy paying €200 postage.

    Driving down a straight 100km/h at 100km/h.

Car flashes to warn about the speed van location.

Bunch of cars slow down to 80km/h.

I got to overtake. Just then he decideds to speed.

Coming back, selected the Enterprise for a little extra comfort back down to Dublin 🙄 but the train operating that service clearly still advertised as Enterprise on the departures board at time of boarding was not the Enterprise but in fact the same translink commuter bone rattler, one plus, our carriage..wasn't packed this time..

Subsequently overheard employees on the train chatting about the actual Enterprise train being away getting repaired after a breakdown ..

I'm off work tomorrow, and you'd swear I was going away for a month the way people were firing things at my desk. Had four meetings before 1pm, and the 12-1 one ran over. Had to leave the office for a client meeting at 20 past, so didn't have time to even grab a sandwich to eat in the taxi. Client meeting was a two-hour one, and it took me an hour to get home from it. Still had a load of stuff to get through after that, didn't get logged off till after 8pm, and had my first meal of the day after that again.

I reallydo wonder why I stay in this industry at times.

When you go to bed with aches and pains and you wake up with more aches and pains.

Funny you should mention that. A good in for a pain moan. I've a pain in all the diodes down my left hand side, no but I do have a ridiculous pain that runs down the right hand side of my back. I say ridiculous because I can't work out whats there that could be painful, it must be a muscle group but it stretches a long way up and down. Also its more painful when I sit down and driving the car is a real pain.

I think I know what happened. Working on the car I felt something give in my back but no pain. Seems that came later :-(

Wake me up when it's all over.

I had no idea other people got this, I always thought it was to do with eczema and/suncream

TA #1: Unexpected allergy attack yesterday.

TA #2: Mild drowsiness when I did manage to take an antihistamine

TA #3: Having to do a sinus rinse today as head feels stuffed up

I have suffered from eczema in the past, but not badly. Maybe there's something to what you're saying…

no matter how carefully I open the bag of sugar, there’s always a sprinkling of sugar on the table

Only reason I say it is because the liquid in the blisters irritates my skin like the eczema bubbles I used to get on my hands

Like those crispy-plastic bags they put rice in, which always shed a few grains, but then split with enthusiasm given half a chance.

Saturday morning AM DIYers. Since 9.35am my neighbour doing some sort of power washing firstly, now some sort of scraping, sounds like metal against concrete, 😵‍💫. It’s Saturday morning, relax, there are about 12 more hours of daylight ffs…chill out, grab lunch and then get into whatever needs doing..

I used give him a hall pass from time to time as he genuinely has issues with his hearing, wears two hearing aids but the fuçkwit of a missus of his certainly has no problems in that department so “ hey M, will we wait an hour or two before doing that ? Might not be fair on the neighbours ? “. Still ongoing, jeez.

    Open it over the sink.

Edit> I'll update that with a comment that this is actually a TA of mine as my late father would get apoplectic if anyone didn't open anything that might spill over the sink.

Or over a large bowl, so you can recoup whatever has fallen out (often more than a few grains).

Or as I've seen several times over the years, get the correct answer and then vehemently disagree with it.

I need a new nail care kit..had a set for years in a nice leather case but I’ve mislaid 50% of things from it and the small nail scissors is now blunt as fûck, a challenge to even cut paper with it. Neither the same chain shops nearby have anything in stock. How has this high street healthcare retailer not got basic foot care sets ? Same about a month ago. Did their buyers forget that people have.. feet ? 😵‍💫🥊

I thought I saw a rodent peeping out from the side of the fridge a few weeks ago. Mentioned it to my sibling, who basically laughed in my face, went back to whatever Very Important Thing he was doing.

Thursday morning: the SAME rodent strolls out from under my t‑shirt rail in the attic then when I was in the loo she just casually pops in for a visit. I didn’t even scream — I made some kind of strangled, dying‑goose noise. Spent the rest of the day jumping at every shadow and imaginary movement like I’m living in a horror film

Said to everyone to close all the doors so Mrs Mouse wouldn’t go all over the house( and mb bring the fam). Every door on every floor is left wide open. Windows too. Honestly it’s like someone is actively trying to speed‑run me into a breakdown.

Ta the housing crisis for making it impossible to escape to literally anywhere else for a few days. Ta2 absolute epidemic of people who physically cannot close a door behind them. in what feels like a rodent ridden house.
