Ah, I see you're also trying the old far-right trick of trying to get someone to defend a claim they never made. That one's obvious from a mile off, you shouldn't even bother. Besides, you're the one making a claim so the onus is on you to defend your claim, not on anyone else to refute it. So go, defend!

The speaking out of both theirs a*ses also equates to their stance on religion.

They are probably the most vehemently anti-church and will sing chorus' of just how toxic the RCC is/was in Ireland (and rightly so in most cases). How they want to rid it completely from schools and row in fully behind educate together schools. How regressive the church stance was on abortions, women's right, LGBT rights etc. etc. etc.

All probably has legs but doesn't half look hypocritical when they're falling over themselves to accommodate and in many cases promote Islam and it's followers. Under their "Be Nice" approach to politics.

A city that is still waiting for basic infrastructure

The left in Ireland are spreading fake news. They will say he was murdered until the lie becomes the truth.

Its like the lies Ruth Coppinger spread about women's underwear held up in court in a rape trial. It never happened, but to this day it always claimed to have happened.

If kirk Loco can be arrested and charged for reposting something that was sent to him, then surely LilDoza Sinn Féin aligned account can be to for trying to incite.

This is also the guy that was calling Ryan Casey a weirdo after the media published his reaction to City West rape of 10yo girl.

Ruth Coppinger needs to apologise for calling a knife carrying criminal a hero . Under no circumstances was this man a hero

I believe that was Eileen Flynn who called him a hero.

The same Eileen Flynn who gave reference for her con artist cousin who defrauded elderly people over $1 million dollars. She's also apparently terrified of the tricolour, or as Eileen calls it, the tri-flag.

Population increased by almost 90k last year. Sure it’s grand. Resources and housing no issues there whatsoever.

Flynn is a cherry picked puppet, a dimwitted gombeen and a perpetual victim, the antithesis of the type of representation the travelling community needs.

Well they may not be as smart as they think they are. It seems to me that they may be trying to get ahead of the story and guide it in some way. Are the boys who robbed and beat Alex Coughlan to death while filming it parishioners* or coreligionists of Al Qadri? That so much emphasis has been given to his comments point towards it. No doubt the usual suspects will point out that it's not the case, but then again they screamed to high heaven that Aislings killer was Irish, until he wasn't.

*Or whatever the correct muslim term is.

When most of us say "social justice" we mean equality under the law opposition to prejudice, discrimination and equal opportunities for all. When Social Justice Activists say "social justice" they mean an emphasis on group identity over the rights of the individual, a rejection of social liberalism, and the assumption that unequal outcomes are always evidence of structural inequalities.

They have now edited it to appear that it was security guards all along, with no timestamp to say it was edited or updated. Symeon Brown who wrote the piece has rightly been called out on his "journalism" or activism in this case. You can decide what his motivation was, reporting the news, or stirring up racial tensions by trying to make this George Floyd 2.0.

Of all things up for discussion, the Immigration debate completely misses the "play it out" part of a debate.

On both sides, people need to explain the bollox they are spouting. Let's "play out" Eileen Flynn's comment. "OK OK Eileen. He was a hero that left an amazing legacy. Please expand on that what is his legacy is and why is he a hero".

The second these people (like I said both sides extreme, left AND right) start being drilled out on what they saying they will soon shut up.

It basically the Borat or even the Louis Therox approach. Ask a question that in all seriousness can't be answered.

Echoing the important part of your post where you cogently outline the pressures that most people have in renting and purchasing as well as other costs, in what some on here may see as a leopards ate my face moment, SF councillor Niamh Fennell is stepping down from South Dublin County Council and emigrating to Australia as

she is “one of those young people who doesn’t have a home to call her
own, who’s faced with the pressure of the cost of living and whose hope
of a future in Ireland is fading away
    ”...

Edit. The indo also covers this as well, but some have pointed out the irony of the article seemingly being written by someone seemingly new to the parish while another native Irish person emigrates.

    You couldn't make it up.

wasn’t there a poster on here who berated everyone else for not sticking alleged before any claim in relation to the incident and then proceeded to excitedly proclaim that the guy was lynched.
Read an Irish examiner article where a relative claimed that the Gardai joined the security guards sitting on the chap. Accurate statement? If inaccurate I wonder will the Gardai push back on that statement or are they too afraid of the constantly panting ‘be kind’ brigade

    No.

I'm the one who corrected the omission of "alkeged" before the facts were fully known (they're still not, by the way. Have you seen the CCTV footage from the store? Thought not.) but I didn't proclaim he was lynched. Don't let that get in the way of trying to lie about it, though.

They deny it all the time, but the calls for Irish men to licensed, blaming Irish mothers for the way they raised their sons, the Catholic Church.

How the government gaslit the nation with discussions and focus on Domestic Violence bills.

The comments sections were a free for all to blame Irish Catholic men.

They hid details of what actually happened to that poor girl until it came out after trial, there was journalists claiming he strangled her, no doubt to give the impression there may have been a altercation. They never told us how she fought like hell to survive after he had stabbed her and ripped out her voice box. How his family cleaned Ashling's blood of his hands and destroyed his clothes and he went to Dublin.

How Puska and family lived off the state and was in a way state funded through his Disability Allowance to go murder this poor girl.

They were provided by the state a massive house that two hardworking citizens Ashling and Ryan could probably never envisage owning.

So what's your take on it?

That it was an unfortunate incident that the security men should have handled better? Do you think they had a right to tackle if IF they believed he had shoplifted?

Also, are you in agreement with those voices who are trying to paint this incident as racial profiling?

Look, I've said plenty of times that the far-right trick of trying to get someone to defend a claim they've not made is transparently obvious and can be seen a mile off. Stop bothering, there's no point. You're failing.

'We have reached the limit' announces French Minister of Justice Gerald Darmanin as he plans to stop legal immigration into France for three years.

Lets not be laggards in this regard. We reached the limit a few years ago. Jim O' Callaghan, please pick up the pace od deportations and even explore the option of using 3rd countries to process suspected illegal immigrants!

    The reporting is shameful really.

Tbf the poster doesn’t seem to be asking you to defend a claim you’ve not made, think they’re just asking you to take a stance at all

For all of your posting in this thread you’ve actually been a tad evasive in actually articulating your thoughts on what occurred and the subsequent reaction/commentary

Him and the one from the same place pretending to be a kid so he could stab a Ukranian child over 100 times (and in both eyes). We should be glad to welcome such diversity from areas that have rich heritage and a strong history of integration and gainful employment. If you ask any questions at all you are a racist xenophobe/deleted comment

That might be because the full facts of the case haven't come out yet. Unlike others, it seems, I appear to be refraining from giving uniformed opinion.

    People are scared.

Scared of this and scared of being made out to be a racist.

People really don't understand how this is allowed to happen. How could the government allow this to happen ? It doesn't make any sense.

How can this continue? There isn't the resources or will to deal with these issues, so why let it continue ?

The politicians seem overly excited about the game of politics. You see it when they win a by election. It's like they have won the lottery or found a cure for cancer. They are like little excited children. What planet are they on ? They haven't done anything, things are getting worse. And they are spending billions on things getting worse.

We are dealing with terrible foreign policy by colonial and imperialist foreign governments, current and past. Why do we have to deal with this ? We are not responsible for this.

EU (and UK) countries can't dump their past mistakes on Ireland. This was never part of any deal or agreement by the Irish people.

I assume about 50k+ plus of that is new births? So not as much immediate pressure on housing as it would appear.

Oh look, another one. Perhaps Ebun Joseph will come along and tell us the girls were racist for rejecting his advances. Perhaps it's his culture and he simply doesn't know any better...

"Alfa first became known to be in the country in February 2025; however, there was no record of his port of entry. He was unemployed, later lived in Wicklow, but he had no family in or ties to the country.

The garda voiced flight risk fears.

He also said he believed the accused showed a clear propensity to violence, and he had grave concerns if he were released on bail."

And the government will have the cheek to tell us there's no such thing as an unvetted male. This should be an open and shut case of immediate and forced deportation to Somalia. Not to some other country in Europe or willingly allowed move which puts other Europeans in danger.

"Alfa first became known to be in the country in February 2025; however, there was no record of his port of entry.

    Just read that sentence.

"…became known to be in the country…………………….." This implies that people can simply wander in and out of the country, no checks, no ID.

And yet if I say we have open borders, people say I am wrong.

It goes on……………" there was no record of his port of entry."

    Therefore, we have open borders.
