Reminds me I've a Bord Gais voucher that's over 2 years old that I need to use. It's probably already deprecated by 20% given the hike in concert prices.

It's so hot you could fry a bork on a car bonnet.

An Post! For months they have been bombarding me with msgs like, we have your parcel, we will attempt to deliver your parcel, we have delivered your parcel.

So today when I'm waiting for something important I don't hear a pep out of them although when I check myself I know the item is out for delivery.

Wake me up when it's all over.

But imagine the outcry if they all spoke perfect RP English. There could even be lynching's ;-)

Online retailers who don't say where they are posting from. And that's most of them. They advertise in euros and you find out ages later, when you have ordered and are trying to pay that they are posting from the UK, or US. Why is it so difficult to say 'posted within EU'? I have just spent more time on two sites trying to establish where they are situated than I did looking at goods. In fact, all sites should say where they originate, whether you are buying or not.

Not to mention "defibullator" for defibrillator. Heard an RTE presenter say that recently. Drives me mad. It's not that hard a word to get right.

My local Dunnes stocks two types of Crosta Mollica frozen pizzas. They never change and I've always wanted to try the other three varieties.

I was in a Tesco in Wexford over the weekend and saw a display with all five types. Couldn't buy them because they'd be defrosted by the time I got home. So checked out my local Tesco earlier today - they had none of them.

legacy music acts, over the hill, past their best or however you want to term it, yet between them and promotor charging exorbitant prices for tickets….

Paul Weller, I’m looking at you. 😵👈🏼…..Tickets €77.45 for Fairview park… Id be paying bout €50 return in taxis, add food / drinks, close to another €50…so about €180 to visit a park… no established / known support to speak of.

I was going to post this very thing. There's no excuse for bad grammar/punctuation/outright mispronunciations in print or broadcast media, but I've no issue with someone simply speaking in a regional accent. Our airwaves/TV channels would be very boring otherwise.

I've been given flack by a friend for correcting my grandchildren's grammar.

I don't do it all the time and never when it might upset them. But I hate the "I done" and "Me and Amy went swimming", and "I would have went" type of errors. They are still at primary level and now just give me the evil eye and correct themselves.

Their Dad used to do it deliberately in his teens to get a reaction from me. Now he is the one doing the corrections himself.

You would be horrified at the number of teachers at both Primary and Secondary level who have very poor grammar.

People who put back their shopping trolleys or baskets leaving rubbish or store magazines in them. 😣

Nobody ,I feel, expects perfect English, however being bombarded by ‘done’ and ‘seen’ and ‘them’ and ‘went’ at

a terrifying rate is a step too far,in my opinion.

How is that I put my headphones loosely in my jacket pocket, but when I take them out again, they've knotted themselves so badly, that it takes at least a minute to untangle it all?

Don’t blame the artist, dude. The promoters know that poor Pat is a sucker for any auld chancer rocking up

long past their sell by date. Didn’t poor Tony Bennett show up here and the poor lad could hardly stand.

Poor Pat is a sucker for ‘farewell tours’ . When Pat gets a bit of sense and doesn’t spend his hard earned eurons

bathchair and gurney using performers, these gimps will retire gracefully….hopefully!!

same with me, I’m convinced they do it deliberately

My TA for today is the size of indicator lights on cars, we have gone from a decent sized light in the one place on all cars to these little slim sliver of light on most of the new cars. I won't get started on the lack of use or incorrect use of indicators but surely they should be a standard size and placement on all cars.

I have just been struggling for half an hour with a spring that goes on the front brake calliper of my old Ford Focus. This probably the 6th or 7th time I've had to do this while changing brake pads on various Ford Foci. Came inside for a G&T and looked up on Youtube to see if there was an easier way. Fcuk Fcuk Fcuk and a few more expletives.

In the past and this time I'd assembled the brake caliper and then put the spring on. What you are supposed to do is put the spring on the outer movable part of the caliper and then flick the spring around the static part as you assemble it :-(

    I need this G&T!

Tell your friend to piss off! Children need to learn and that doesn't just happen in school. Would they have an issue if you also reminded your grandkids to stand up straight/eat with their mouths closed/wash their hands after using the bathroom, etc??? Nonsense.

called Irish rail seat reservations for the second time at 6.25pm. According to my phone I’m 27 minutes on hold. Hung up, tried again at 7.05pm…. Straight through to an automated message advising that the telephone lines close at 7pm.

Irish rail, the operator for the entirety of the states national railway with according to them over 55 million passengers a year and they have crucial customer contact departments shutting down and completely unavailable from as early as 7pm on weekdays. The actual fück is that about ? Do they realise that some people have to travel and make arrangements at short notice ? That’s just, you know, life !

(Luckily perhaps) I was out pottering around the lawn when I noticed a car pull up outside my gate, no one I knew thought she was just checking a phone message or something. Next thing she gets out and is heading off I let a shout 'do you mind not blocking my driveway' and seemed to be a bit put out that she had to move. There was almost enough room on the road to park a bus. Very annoying.

    FFS, efing web forms!

Have a small insurance issue and filled in the webform on the companies site.

    ENTER A VALID PHONE NUMBER.

It is a valid phone number you morons but its not a mobile number because you can't call me on a mobile number as there is no coverage here! If I put in a "valid" mobile phone number you won't be able to contact me.

Edit> Just calmed down and put a stupid phone number in the required box 0831111111 and then made a note of my home landline and a request to use it in the text box.

I have assembled plenty of household items like TV stands, tables and chairs and many companies make it very easy with superb instructors and every screw and piece is separated into different plastic packs and label it all.

I get that the whole world loves Ikea and I enjoy visiting too but their instructions suck and all the different screws are in the same pack. It took far too long yesterday for me to assemble a bed.

Other companies do this better , that’s my TH

I bought a gimmick for opening jars etc as my hand can be quite weak sometimes . My memory is crap and now I have 4 of them.

Get a desert spoon, give the lid of the jar a few taps at the side and it should make it easier to open.
