The app is not working properly on my mower, this year's model. I can pause and restart but the Go to station and Spot mode buttons don't do anything. Because the pause and restart buttons work in the app I'm assuming that there's no issue with connecting my phone to the mower. Maybe I'm not doing something right somewhere? Thanks.

If the online availability tool mentions stock available, but you cant see any, ask the staff.

I picked up one from Lidl on the belgard road last Thursday. There was one on the shelf, was about to leave when I spied a staff member. I asked her about it, saying the online stock level said it was available. She mentioned it's too expensive to leave on the shelf, so they keep them in the storeroom.

Can I ask is it worth it? What's the difference between the expensive one and the cheaper one? The expensive one doesn't have Lidar right?

Yes have observed all this and was wondering too if unit faulty. Solar charger a disappointment, and have unsustainable solution with power cable to get power out to lawn that I thought solar charger unlocked. My 2025 and 2026 mowers themselves on each lawn are great.

I see Aldi have a 400m2 robot mower - anyone hear what they're like?

I got a "Motor stall" error on mine and the wifi hasn't been working for a while and Novo, the service company, want me to send it to Germany for repair. Has anyone had to do this?

I need to box it up and bring it to a post office. Base station, charger and all. Some amount of hassle

I have the 1000m² wired version working away since early Spring. I took the front comb off while the grass was long, i did a few cuts with the ride on first, as the grass was just too long, its also about 700m² area. After about a month, the grass is looking great and ive the comb back on. Ive had a few issues, software related where the mower seems to power down or goes offline while at the docking station. A power off on cycle does the trick.

I recently purchased the 1250m² smart vision mower for an area about 1100m². Its certainly a more solid unit with a bit of heft to it. It's quicker and seems to be more powerful at cutting. But im having a few issues with it. It struggles with a messy border, say where grass merges into a ditch or hedge, it was constanly driving into it and getting stuck. As tempory measure ive had to pin down about 100m of hazard tape and its worked perfectly and detecting it. It recognises the transition from grass to driveway/kerbs very well. Another issue I am having is a cutter motor error, where it leaves the base station and after 5 seconds of driving only it stops and displays cutter motor error. Only fix is to remove the battery and power back up and it works away. Sounds software related. Hopefully an update will be pushed out soon to fix this as i dont want to have to send it back.

@limktime Have you the newest smart vision version? I'm getting random motor cutter errors on mine.

I got 2 of the 500m2 ones last year. One is no longer turning the blade unit. It drives around fine, but not much use if not cutting the grass. Any ideas before I return it?

Lidl currently have the 250m2 (€180) and the 750m2 (€300) versions in stock - anyone know how these two compare in terms of reliability or are they all much of a muchness?

I am looking at dearer wire free options at the moment but part of me is tempted just to pick up a Lidl one to try. I have one section of lawn at the front that I'm going to have to lift the robot mower over to every few days or cut the old fashioned way. Wired one wouldn't be too bad to manage in that area it's about 170m2 and flat. Think I'd need the 750m2 I don't think I can cut to 45mm height with the 250 m2 with how much moss and thatch is in it.

Missed this, sorry. No it's one of the older wired ones.

Anyone who has either of these versions able to comment on them before I go ahead and buy?

I got the 250sqm 'City' mower. I wanted the 500 euro version with vision. It appears they never came into stock, dispite being advertised. The City mower has been working fine since I got it. The wire can be placed 25cm away from the edge, not 35cm per the supplied docs and ruler. It comes with a 2 amp battery. I put a 4 amp into it, but I will probably change it back to the 2 amp. The battery lasts for ages. The power supply cable is my major complaint. There is only about 3 meters of cable between the power supply brick and base. I could not find an longer replacement cable. (A replacement power brick with cable can be ordered and just the cable used to extend the existing cable, but this is big money.) The cable is similar to those used for Chinese outdoor fairy or LED lights, but with slightly different connectors. I ended having to build an custom outdoor rated mains extension, from HO7 cable and a waterproof socket large enough to fit the power brick.

Yeah, the power cord on the 250sqm mower is stupidly short. Also made the mistake of getting the solar charger, more hassle than it's worth.

The mower itself though is surprisingly good.

Just to add, re the City/250sqm mower. It does not appear to be possible to put the mower onto automatic Schedule Mode from the App. You can select the other Modes from it. The button has to be pressed on the mower. A warning is displayed saying this when you do any adjustments to the mowing schedule in the app. Also, I don't think it can be changed to communicate over Wifi, rather than Bluetooth. It saying that, mine has been cutting the grass every day for over a week, without been touched.
