Anyone know how often the blades should be replaced/sign they need replacement? Any experience with cheap compatible ones online? Grizzy tools are looing for €10 for 3 blades, but see lots other cheaper online.

Hi Coldfire, from your earlier post, do you remember what size retaining clip for the wheel caster is it ? I have to get a replacement.

Yes same here and they also changed the behaviour so that every time it hits something or the boundary the cutter stops and doesn’t start again until it’s already gone several feet in the new direction.

By the way, I have had to repair the wire in our perimeter five or six times, when the mower managed to dig it up and cut it. I kept it simple, stripping, twisting back together and wrapping with self amalgamating tape. Most of these repairs are a year old and still no problems with them. Worth a try if you're not already repairing this way. You can get it readily.

Yes I'm thinking its a glitch in the firmware update, hopefully they will put out another update to fix it shortly.

I use these things to repair the wire:

I think mine was damaged from leaving it out over winter. I got the replace adapter soon and fixed it by cleaning the contacts on the base station

Anyone found any good tools for burying the boundary wires? I seen a professional outfit installing a boundary wire recently and they had a petrol powered machine to bury it.. Unfortunately they weren't interested in installing my wire when I didn't buy the mower from them even though I was willing to pay.. I too am having occasional wire cutting incidents in areas where the mower is turning is tight locations.

    We did the following:

Run a strimmer along the line where you want to bury. Go down to the clay. The strimmer I used has a wheel which allowed easy control. When all grass is cleared away by the strimmer, go along with a shovel or preferably a spade and break the ground in a continuous line. I did it at an angle to vertical. To put the wire down, I used a garden hand 'shovel' (can't think of the correct term) to clear the slot ahead of the wire. Push the wire down with your fingers or the hand shovel gently. I go back every five meters or so and stamp down the opening with my foot to close it a bit. It only needs to be buried a few CM. It worked well for us and didn't take that long.

New Fw out already, however it won't download and also won't let you use the app until you update the fw.

So to update the fw you must start the process with the mower undocked and then dock it. I didn't notice any changes after, it still stops mowing when it hits boundary

Use "Parkside" app instead of "Lidl home" app.

Because there is a toggle Blade stop to disable, so the blade does not stop after every bump as was introduced by FW 4.10 recently.

Hi guys, I am about to pick one up today.

I have a front lawn that I want to use it for.

I was thinking about using it in my back garden also - it's completey separate so I'd have to lift the mower and leave it in the back garden to cut it - is this something that is possible? I have no way of running the wire out to the back garden.

Not a deal breaker for me, but just curious.

    No, not possible.
the base station & the wire are required for the mower to function.

Good Morning we got one of these on Saturday and I really don't understand how it works.

Today it woke up at 7 and actually went to the secondary area which was fine. But it got stuck in a hole and switched off.

I switched it on again at around 12.10 today and it went into standby mode which I thought was ok as it has a down time from 12;00 to 13:00 however just went out at 13:10 and again the mower was switched off. I turned it back on and again it's straight to standby mode?

Why doesn't it start mowing? The battery seems to be 3/4 full.

I don't want to turn on manual mowing as I'll have to monitor the thing the whole day.

OK UPDATE: I set the schedule for 13:40 and put the machine back in base. It started mowing again but I emergency stopped it to move it to secondary area. As soon as I stop it and restart it with the code again it goes into standby(s) mode.

Emergency stop or anything that knocks the mower off seems to put it off schedule....you either have to press start for it to manually mow, or press home and send it back to station...after it returns to station I'm not sure if it will start per schedule again that day or not.....

Yesterday I could stop it pick it up and move it around then it would say do you want to continue mowing. I suppose this was because I had already set manual mode.

The last time lifted it and sent it to the base and after about 30 minutes of charging it did take off again.

So if anyone has similar problem just lift it and put it near the base and press and hold the home button it will go back to base and say charging if you lift the lid it says continue working and say yes then it'll show charge to work.

It's running around the garden at the moment I have to programmed to go until 10pm tonight. I'll report back later to let you know how it's going.

Just managed to rescue a wheel from the dog before he started chewing on it…Had fallen off from the bar anchor, so opened it up wheel itself, drilled a hole in the bar and stuck a clip in inside it to keep it in place…working ok so far…

Hey guys, not sure if this was already covered within this thread but I am looking for some help in relation to repairing a broken perimeter wire.

I had the wire temporally installed still above ground while trying to ensure it is placed correctly, before i bury it, however, the lawnmower somehow got stuck and cut a section.

How do I repair this - would anyone have any instructions?

    Thanks

    These are a good option...https://www.amazon.ie/ECENCE-Cable-Connectors-Robotic-Mowers/dp/B07S9ZW9LX

While you are waiting for them you can just wrap the wire together to make the connection so the mower can keep the grass cut.....

What routes have people taken to successfully get replacements for broken mowers under warranty? I was never able to get through on the phone about the dock that stopper working from last year.

I just got another mower in may and used the dock from that. Now the new mower is showing hardware error (3) so I want to get that replaced under warranty.

Can I just bring it into the shop if they have it in stock? (Though I'm not sure they have the same one still.)

I have the receipt for this one, but not the one from last year.

I filled in a contact form and attached an image of my receipt. I said that the mower was telling me to replace the adapter. They got back to me to tell me they were forwarding the request on to someone else then after a week or two I got an email to say a replacement would be sent out. I just got a replacement adaptor.

Yes same..contact from and communications over email then..No issues once relevant info is provided..

Probably been discussed before but what height do you guys have your mowers set to ?

Mine is currently set at 45 but thinking of going a bit lower 🤷‍♂️

I started at 45 and let it cut to that level for a week and then dropped it in increments to 35 or 30 ( cant remember exactly ) letting it run for a few days in between changes. I dont think there is a need to do it in increments but I wanted to put the least stress on the mower.

So far its doing a great job but I need to move the base station as it travels through a narrow passage and it tends to tear up some of the grass when it gets stuck between the boundary wires.
