Looking at our performances to date I don’t think we’re as far off Limerick as people make out. I think we’ll take this game to them similar to the way we did against Cork Tipp and Clare, don’t be surprised if we’re still in it in the final 10 mins. I expect Limerick at full strength will have too much firepower in the end and the large home support coming down home the stretch will get them over the line. Don’t think we’re without hope of getting a result but the elements are against us in terms of injuries and the luck of the draw.

A lot of teams weaker teams can keep a performance going for 55 to 60 minutes and then get absolutely blown to pieces in the final quarter.

Best of luck to the Camoige team today in Munster final vs Tipp in Thurles

Summer over for us now if things stay the same in Thurles

definitely now. Tipp abysmal. Proves how fortunate they were (or even overachieved) last year

Technically we're still in it.. If we were to beat Limerick tomorrow and Tipperary we're to do the same the following week and beat Limerick it would go down to score differences between ourselves and Tipperary for 3rd place.. Highly unlikely I know

well done Clare maybe our costly first round loss wasnt as bad as it looked . Leave it all on the pitch tomorrow lads .

Think a win for us tomorrow and then Limerick vs Tipp ends a draw get's us 3rd but that's 2 freak results back to back

Limerick know a win tomorrow is enough so will be rampant from the off. We have nothing to lose either tomorrow go out and bleed for that jersey

Hard luck to the Camoige team today, we seem to just fall at the final hurdle again and again

Still far from a dead rubber and we have to beat them at some stage so who knows? Awful pity we didn't get 1 more point in the previous 3 games then we'd be certain to progress with a win tomorrow.

Even not finishing last in munster would be 1 up on last year

most likely will go down to score difference for last spot at minute out score difference is 5 better than tip’s but that could change significantly Tomorrow….😥😥

I think tonight's results simplifies it even more for us, no we are only depending on 1 game rather than two.

If we were to win tomorrow and Tipp beat Limerick it's score difference between us and Tipp.

If we bet Limerick and Tipp drew with Limerick we go through on head to head v Limerick.

Cork and Clare game is now irrelevant to us.

A lot of if's, but like other years where we have failed we need to luck after our own result and see what happens.

It simplifies it for Limerick too - they win today and are definitely through and if they beat Tipp they will be in a Munster final, unless Clare beat Cork by about 15 points. Very hard to see Waterford overturning Limerick but will be travelling down, for better of for worse !

It was always simple for Limerick, win one of their remaining two games and they were always through. Which most likely for us will.be the outcome.

Since the round robin we have constantly heard, knockout suits Waterford. The game today is literally a knockout game. The lads just need to leave it all out there and if we are not good enough we are not good enough, that is all you can ask for really.

The forecasted weather (rain of biblical proportions) might be a leveller today …. who knows.

Looking at the table ,an interesting stat jumps out on scoring .

Highest scoring team in the munster championship over all games played and most goals scored.

That despite scoring none against Cork which proved costly . We have been almost there in all games this year .

Three points down chasing the draw vs Clare at end ,drawing with Tipp and two points down vs cork going into injury time .Heres hoping for a bit of luck and the bounce of the ball in Limerick today .

Travelling down , the least this team desrves this year is support

Or would suit the more physical team. Which is limerick.

seeing Tipp collapse last night after winning AIl Irrland last year really is a strange one. It makes you think about Liam Cahills time in charges of us where we were Jekyll and hide. We went from being all Ireland contenders one minute to being miles off it for a finish. Maybe it wasn’t all on the players after all

Best of luck to the team today

The best of luck today from the Mighty Banner! I got another reminder yesterday of how Tipp and Cork don't like losing to Clare and neither do they like losing to Waterford. The longer both us lesser mortals can stay at the top table the better. Waterford have exceptional players and their day will come, even if doesn't come today. Keep the flame alive and keep the faith!!!!

Aaron o Neill out. Conor Sheehan wearing number 2

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 271 ✭✭Pudz2180

so that’s our two starting cornerbacks, full back, centre back and best attacker out. Should we be surprised when players are being flogged like dogs. Starting to hate this format. At least give teams two weeks between games

To be fair, Tipp were lucky to get out of munster last year, then ended up on the good side of the draw for the AI, they could have lost to Kilkenny who in my eyes are poor, did they go that game by not scoring for 20 minutes, cork were in control or the AI final and collapsed in the second half.

Despite winning the AI. Tipperary weren't all Ireland pedigree, I also don't feel Cahill expected it, I would imagine he had a 3-4 plan to be in a position of winning an All Ireland.

Credit to them they got their chance and took it, but this season is more of a true reflection of where Tipperary are, I think they are better than they have been this year, but they definitely are not at the level of the top counties in my eyes.
