    Dreadfully boring fight.

Conlan looks shot to pieces, although I still expected him to get it on the cards.

Conlan can't have any complaints, nothing happened in a lot of rounds and he didn't do enough to stop the judges going against him.

Conlan was dreadful. Walsh not good, but best punches landed were Walsh. Conlan landed nothing at all. Really bad.

Two piss poor fighters. Walsh will be beaten by anyone half decent. Conlan really needs to retire

Walsh was in to survive, and he did bits here and there. Mick just posed and postured for the whole fight. Had Walsh tried harder he would have won much clearer

Conlon probably should of pulled the plug after his loss to Wood.

Where was he going to go after that?

His chin has always been suspect, even as an amateur, he gets tagged and hurt to easy which is obviously why he’s very reluctant to engage.

spot on. Commentators desperate to praise him and give him rds, but he just wasn’t really earning the rds. A draw wouldn’t have been bad either. Conlan just not able to let hands go.

Dreadful stuff from both really but in a way Conlon is lucky he didn't win it, its over and tbh he didn't need this fight to know that.

Had he won he would have fought again which is beyond pointless, just more punishment for nothing, he's so timid and fragile, he can't let them go for fear of getting caught, he knows if he's caught by something its over.

Talk of Mayweather Pacquiao fight off. Mayweather not really wanting it as a proper bout. Like I thought. No way he’s risking his 0

While it wasn't a thrilling fight, it was an extremely interesting one.

It was so technical in the first half, with both very wary of the other's power, but Inoue was just the cleverer and slicker. But once Nakatani decided to open up, that's when it got a lot closer. I thought Inoue looked quite tired in the 9th and 10th and thought he needed to win at least one of the last two rounds in order to prevent defeat. And he won both of them! That's what great sports people do. Whatever is necessary.

The effect of the head clash can't be overlooked and it certainly came at the right time for Inoue, but he really took advantage.

I think there will be a rematch, which will light fire much earlier.

And yes, Inoue is an all-time great.

Jesus Christ, did anyone see Eggington and Walker?

    What an absolute WAR!!!!

One of the best fights I've ever seen. Two remarkably tough, honest and entertaining fighters.

If you don't know the result, just watch it without knowing. It's fantastic.

    Yeah what a war.

Very impressive by Benavidez. I suppose going up to heavyweight would be a step too far now. I'd love to see him face Uysk at cruiserweight before Uysk packs it in.

Jeez i forgot all about Bivol. That would be some fight too! So maybe Bivol or even Jai Opetaia, then Usyk at a catch weight

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 61,037 ✭✭✭✭walshb

Benavidez overwhelms Bivol with pace and volume. Bivol does 2-3 things, doesn’t hit hard and has 0 inside game.

Beterbiev much better chance vs Benavidez. Heavy hands, comes to fight and is very busy.

Anyone watch Donovan? Thought he won well but still think he's too prone to just doing enough. Over complacency maybe?

Having said that, The 113-113 card was a joke. Even if the second knockdown was a push rather than a punch, I think at absolute best you could give Karen 4 later rounds, meaning Donovan won 8 rounds and two of them were 10-8.

So Taylor did indeed sell out Croke Park with minimal fuss and no undercard announced.

    Did anyone else get tickets?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,175 ✭✭✭RoyalCelt

Couldn't get any. Unless they've more tickets to sell they could easily have charged more for the nosebleeds.

I'm on the verge of a site ban. Please don't rage bait me, I'm easily triggered especially late at night!

there will be more. How much were they?

Hearn is a pure rogue, going on as if he is doing the fight at a loss.

    People lapped it up though.

I can’t see how they will have more when it’s marked as sold out, people could purchase 9 tickets which seems crazy.

They allegedly started at €32 in the drink free family zone but after 90 minutes in the queue I got offered €523 tickets

    Resellers dream no doubt

    The internet isn’t for everyone

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,486 ✭✭✭squinn2912

I’d say there’s a pile not sold. Hearn talks about sold out every event and then pulls more out of his ass.

This is very odd. I don't think there's any chance you get those tickets for that price.
