Sorry for the late response, but I actually started my DM program on Wednesday. Getting Ocrevus (ocrelizumab) SC infusions, once every six months. Turnaround was pretty quick to be honest, month and a half from diagnosis to my first treatment. One of the advantages of being close to CUH and having a professor of neurology as your consultant, I suppose. Also, the science nerd inside me is in heaven right now. A whole new world of nerding out to sink my teeth into 😉 Seriously, the science behind it is fascinating!

Thanks for all the kind words from others in this thread as well. I hope you don't mind me saying, and I also don't want to be flippant, but I'm actually somewhat glad that what I'm dealing with is MS. About ten years ago, I lost both of my parents to cancer and the way MS first showed up was very similar to the way cancer presented itself in my mom when it came back after beating it the first time. Needless to say, I was scared sh!tless and the diagnosis was actually somewhat of a relief for me.

Good luck trying to figure me out. I haven't managed that myself yet!

Every part of the country has varying degrees of neurology services. I only have had a neurologist for 16 years and physics which were great and the ms society which are great. If I had access to ms nurse specialists like other places have,I'd be happy. All I get is 10 mins ish with neurologist and then I'm on my own. Just recently I got myself a wheelchair that I don't use but it's there if needed. I probably should have changed neurologist but I reckon it's not easy to do
