I played the first few Hitman games from 2000~2004 (or thereabouts), but over the past few steam sales I've purchased "Hitman 1", "Hitman 2", and "Hitman: World of Assassination" - and then never played a single one of them!

I was just about to boot up "Hitman 1" and get back into the series, but, am I right in saying I can just play "World of Assassination" alone now, as it incorporates the previous 2 games?

(and, I guess….I wasted my money on buying them also! 😋)

Yes, Hitman World of Assassination aka Hitman 3 includes all the content from Hitman 1 and 2. There's no point playing Hitman 1 or 2 anymore.

Unless you want the achievements. Plus the physics degraded significantly after the first one. Much less destructible environments etc in 2 and 3, even on the maps from 1.

With the latest James bond trailer, I went back to Hitman 2 as i had given up on the 3 headed spent, just couldn't enjoy that mission at all. Still feel the same but this time i skipped to the next mission and it was much better. Completed the game and now I'm mad for more hitman WoA was just down to 28 last week so will wait for another sale but really got back into it. Definitely getting the new James bond game as well.

I went back to the beach house mission to get fully master it, lot of fun trying to do as many challenges in 1 run as i can. Can you tell me, how do i get the sniper rifle to complete the challenges to do with that? My next run, i will do SA which i believe is original suit, kill only target, body not found and escape with no one noticing?

You need to unlock a sniper rifle and leave it in a drop location when selecting your load out. First sniper unlock in 2 comes from reaching mastery level 5 in Miami.

On the second point that is required for SASO(Silent Assassin Suit Only), you can change costume on a standard SA run.

Thanks, looks like I'm heading back to Miami 😊 think I'll have to go with WoA on Amazon, the freelancer mode looks class. Pity Amazon Ireland delivery times are gone shite.

Very variable due to shipping stuff from all over the EU. I buy coffee from them and it definitely just gets shipped here from Amazon Italy.

I've heard of people ordering Pokémon cards from the Irish site and ending up with Spanish language cards.

There's a Le Chifre elusive target event at the moment with Mads Mikkelson and by completing it you get an outfit for the 007 game for what its worth.

I went to order hitman there and it said 5 euro for delivery and would arrive on 2nd May or free delivery for 12th May. Got my wife to order it as she has Prime and it's free delivery but 7th May. What on earth is the point of prime when you can pay to get it delivered faster. Amazon Ireland is absolute ****.

As for Pokemon, I have no interest, but my friend runs a card selling business and is the soundest fella. He was on Ireland Am recently showing off card openings, would definitely recommend him if you know anyone looking for legit cards in Ireland.

Mastered Hawkes Bay which was a ton of fun. I thought you'd have to do every single challenge which would have taken 20+ runs but i got to mastery 5 in 3 runs.

Into Miami and i forgot how big it was. Messy first run but already found stuff i didn't know about and got to mastery 3 on first run so very close to getting the sniper. That's gonna be a very tough mission to complete suit only and not be spotted.

Extra tip that you might already know.

When you do unlock the sniper rifle, the only way to start a mission with it is to equip a briefcase as an item and the conceal the sniper rifle inside it as your official starting weapon has to be concealable.

You can also put them in agency pick ups but they can be the difficult to move around.

I saw that last night alright. After the sniper, I'll be looking to unlock the briefcase, thanks!

Right, Sniper and briefcase unlocked, damn i really turned a corner with this game 😀 Next thing i might do is mastery level 7 on whittlecreek to get the lethal poison. After that, I need the silenced sniper which will be harder to get unless i have hitman 1 or access to escalations which i won't until next week.

Did you pick up Hitman 1 when it was on PS+? If you install that there should be an option to download the pack for H2.

I was fully sure i owned hitman 1 but it says i have to access it through WoA. Will check my library later, would love another trek through Sapaienza.

Unlocked the lethal pills from A New Life, needed just a few thousand xp so tried the the public enemy challenge of killing both targets with smg or ar, decided to do it in just the suit as well. Whole new level of sneaking around mixed with absolute carnage but finished the level with 10k xp and the pills.

Think I'm ready to try for master level 10 in the castle for silenced sniper.

Been playing WoA a lot lately as well, my progress got nuked due to Interactive account schenanigans so have had to play through again for all my progress. I don't mind too much, it's a very fun game, and some of the challenges are genuinely hilarious at times - and challenging too.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,000 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Ooh the castle is tough. Burning the effigy mission was a lot of fun and actually quite easy. Making a vote was quite challenging but turns out i needed to poison the drink earlier in the mission which is impossible without doing it once as i don't think it indicates which drink would he hers. I spent way too too long trying to steam the necklace before giving up but think i have a new idea to approach it. Yupp, having a lot of fun with it.

Dressing up as Janus and performing the kill from the coffin was beyond cool. Unlocked the silenced sniper and now gonna go for sniper kills across the levels, Miami was handy enough but I'd say the rest will be tricky.

I went from not being able to complete the 3 headed serpent to getting SASO Sniper on it. I'm not looking to any guides, just following each person until there's an opening when they're on their own which isn't very often at all. Ava trying to think of ways to get them on their own while hiding in the shadows as I'm avoiding using disguises, just loving it. I went back to Miami as the Robert sniper kill on my first go wasn't clean. Ended up getting it this time and 1st on my friends leaderboard completing with 5 stars in 10 minutes. Checked the global leaderboard and the record is 15 seconds wtf!

Currently in Mumbai trying to snipe Rangan and the fecker is never alone. Ton of trial and error save scumming until i got him into an area for a phone call where i had already gotten rid of the guard. Pure and utter joy when he walked into my killing den, completely felt like a spider catching a fly. WoA should arrive tomorrow so I'll be getting straight into Freelancer and building up my Hitman mansion.

Mumbai done but took 55 minutes as the first 2 targets took me a while to break their routine. Have to say, the iron has become my new favourite weapon 😂 It's my go to when i need to incapacitate someone quickly from a distance

Wrench, crowbar or hammer for me, as they also have alternate uses.

Started doing the arcade contracts, shakes things up from my normal save scum method of play, since you have to do it all in one go. Heightens the tension and stakes for sure.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 31,000 ✭✭✭✭Zero-Cool

Do you play Freelancer much? I'm enjoying the story missions but the save scumming is bailing me out so much. Just wondering if there's much incentive to play arcade ET's over freelancer?

I like to drop the explosive duck for the target to pick up then detonate it somewhere where the body is hidden

I've dabbled. Successfully only finished one once. What irritates me about it is that you lose any items you take off your wall if you fail on a mission or leave them behind - so I don't see the point - you're collecting to have them rather than be able to use them.

I complete arcade targets for the unlocks, basically. I like getting stuff I can then use in other missions.
