Propaganda media is a lie though.

Every belief I have about Trump is based on what comes out of his own mouth. Anyone blaming ‘propaganda media’ is either trying to deflect or has the mental capacity of a 2 year old.

There was a clear on thread Mod warning in February about this.

There was also a warning about the discussion of other posters and insults

The first warning is being completely ignored, the second one is largely only being implemented for "Trump supporters".

Its perfectly fine to insult "Trump Supporters".

Why isnt the first warning being enforced and why isnt the second warning being enforced on an even basis ???

I'd also like to point out that the Trump vs Harris Presidential election campaign thread had clear warnings in place, a thread which is newer than the Donald Trump the Megathread part II thread.

Do not be calling Trump a rapist in this thread. Do not be calling posters rapist sympathisers. Do not refer to either candidate in derogatory ways. Do not ridicule either candidate - that includes posting cartoons/gifs etc. Do not be cheering on attempted violence and the attempts to assassinate Trump. Referring to what they say about each other is fine, but using that to trigger discussion about things like the rape is not.

A new thread was supposed to have been created when Trump won the election in Nov 2024 with certain notes like the above included but for some reason it was never done.

We are back to where we were 2 years ago when this thread was opened.

It’s no lie, you can choose to think that and believe and blame as you say what fits your mind.

Important mod warnings need to be in an opening post not buried in the middle of a multi year thread. No surprise if its forgotten / posters unaware.

Titles that say see mod warning in a particular post or page are similarly useless on a phone.

Again, this is bizarre, the trump thread has literally posted the documents with trump listed (some of which were taken down and replaced by the admin), there is no ifs and or buts here, you are simply wrong about this.

They weren't released during the campaign due to the ongoing case which could have seen Maxwell call for a mistrial (and when there was an investigation during a campaign, the evidence was proven false but put a serious dent in the Hillary Clinton campaign, the DNC tend not to campaign this way believing it's the wrong thing to do while the GOP runs rings around them while running multiple sex offenders for office).

Like, there is clear evidence that you can find yourself, yet you are still under this delusion about it, what causes that?

You can argue the merit of the evidence and documents, but you can't argue that they don't exist because they do and they were released by trumps admin who were put under pressure to do so.

How can anyone discuss the topic with you in good faith if this is going to be your reply? Do you see why a moderator might warn you for this type of posting?

Similar to the rape case, again, clear court document posted identifying trump as a rapist, yet it is the same posters popping in to try and deny it and then act the victim when warned about continually doing it. Again, you can argue the merit of the evidence (weak in the face of countless appeal losses) but not what the trial determined as clarified by the judge(s).

Here is another example of a vile attack on a poster, this has 18 thanks.

If someone uses the verdict of the court to try to downplay Trump's conduct e.g. strictly speaking he was found liable for sexual assault not rape but THEN turns around and says well I think the court's verdict was wrong full stop and denigrates the victim's testimony. You accept the court or you don't. You can't have it both ways.

Either they are publicising a vile view of women and the victims of sexual assault or they are arguing in bad faith - both should be subject to moderator sanction in CA. And if they are not to be, well then I don't see what is wrong with posters calling out such conduct on the thread for what it is.

Maybe the mod warning should be: There has been a court case, Trump was found liable for sexual assault. The judge clarified that in common parlance that the act for which he was found liable is considered rape. Under Irish law, it would be rape.
This is the basis why Trump is called a rapist. Don't jump into the thread disingenuously saying he is not a rapist.

Because it just leads to endless stuff on threads like this and for what purpose, just raises the temperature of the thread and is a timesink for mods. It's going to prompt inevitable responses along the lines of - do you think sexual assault is ok? Why are you defending a rapist?

And the Trump administration is engaged in a cover up of the Epstein files and a war on woman's reproductive rights. The rape cannot be neatly separated out away from a thread on his administration the way it could be during the election where there were mod ground rules on the election thread. The man's conduct and the administration are the same now that the "checks and balances" fiction has been exposed.

This is the problem. You are describing the poster as making a vile attack, but the comment relates to trump having sexually attacked E. Jean Carroll. Would you consider Trump's behaviour as a vile attack on her? Is only rape by your definition worthy of being described as 'vile'? I have yet to see any Trump supporter deny that a sexual attack took place, (except those saying that EJC lied, a jury disagreed) but apparently this is ok, as it is not technically rape.

Can you explain how you conclude that the post is a 'vile attack'? You are apparently prepared to differentiate between a sexual attack which involved penetration of a woman, being apparently ok, and rape as understood in the New York courts as presumably not ok. Is this kind of semantic juggling something you want to stand over? Do you really see an equivalence between a poster objecting to an action and someone who performs a sexual assault ?

Its amazing how flexible the rules appear to be to neatly fit banning me persistently.

Yet they are completely ignored daily to appease the hate mob

One of the best words to highlight in your response is "allegations"

Then the carefully crafted "adjudicated" to try and hide that it was a civil case where the burden of proof is far lower than a criminal trial.

I'd have thought most people if anything kept persistently happening to them would possibly consider they are responsible and adjust accordingly? Is this not thought to children?

You still haven't given us an example of where you posted something specific to Trump's actions or policies that you are willing to defend. It appears the best you can do is argue semantics about the acceptablility of sexual attacks compared to rape. You are still just posting whinges about how unfairly you are treated…who does that remind me of?

Its a shame that people have to dance around with weasel words and can't just say what everybody knows.

They can't call Trump a rapist because the people who support the rapist get upset if you call him a rapist. So they have to put in a bunch of disclaimers to appease them.

It serves no purpose whatsoever except to allow people to derail discussions.

    Come off it.

A sick mentally distorted individual. It would be a fail to think women would be safe around that person. Sick individuals.

Its a disgusting and vile attack on another poster.

That you can see nothing wrong with it is deeply worrying but not surprising.

    Do not discuss other posters.

    Wow.

Are there people really coming onto the HELP DESK section of the site to whinge about a thread.

Jesus christ, get a bloody life.

Sounds like you are doing major gymnastics to label Trump as a rapist.

We have seen in another CA thread the rules stated that he was not to be mentioned as a rapist on thread. A rule that should be brought into action immediately as how can anyone have a productive conversation when every second post is saying he's a rapist and how dare you defend him.

Hypothetical question here, who mods the mods on threads when it starts to go gangbusters.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 17,594 ✭✭✭✭MisterAnarchy

    This was the old tactic

People trying to derail this thread and engage in Incivilities, just like they try to derail other threads.

    Such childish behaviour.

Gymnastics? From the poster quibbling over exactly what heinous specific sexual assault Trump was found liable for?

Under Irish law it is rape.

Incredible that someone shows more concern about what is said for the person whi carried out the sexual assault than showed the slightest regard for the victim.

Can you see why such a poster might prompt reactions in others as to them being ok with sexual assault?

You arent giving any justification here for what mods should do differently.

I can refer to a court case, a civil case yes but judge and jury and something established by that process on the balance of probabilities.

Its very evident there is a huge problem in the Trump thread.

When people cant leave feedback regarding this thread without posters from the Trump thread showing up to continue to post their outlandish Trump rants its a neon sign that the Trump thread is completely toxic.

Rules need to be reworked from the ground up and mod action taken EQUALLY across the political divide.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 38,633 ✭✭✭✭odyssey06

Nothing childish about pointing out that Republicans supporting Trump and other senior Republicans are ok with turning a blind eye to his rape, and the acts of those around him. He tried to appoint as AG someone who had sex with a minor.

We see the same with Epstein File cover up by his administration of the heinous sex crimes in it.

Zero concern shown for the victims but happy to defend and support the perps.

Of course Trump supporters would like to shut down those who point this out by running to the mods.

Its impossible to discuss / justify the points of the feedback separate to the context in the thread.

The Trump thread isnt toxic. It is an entirely sane reaction to toxic Trump and the indefensible chaos he causes.

Unlike myself you are free to post your rants on the Trump thread. So why not take it there.

    Why are you are here?

This thread is related to feedback.
