R132 (road from Rush / Lusk to Swords) to get cycle lane and reduced to 50 km/h.

More junctions, more congestion, no bus priority, slower bus services.

Typical cyclist fantasist nonsense that has crippled bus services in dozens of locations across the city, even if some more people cycle the remaining road throughput is reduced by far more than any reduction in car traffic and bus services are left to fight (and lose) for that reduced space.

There are 10 buses in the next hour northbound stopping between Swords and the M1 roundabout, give over with the BS about there not being "enough" buses.

Likely more people on that one 33E that you consider irrelevant than cyclists on that section of road in one hour.

Its only 3km. Better then nothing. There needs to be safer cycling infrastructure on the road between Rush and Lusk and also Lusk and Blakes Cross.

Why isn’t the upgrade of the arterial road not including the installation of QBCs for the multiple bus routes that use that arterial route instead of just concentrating on cyclists?

I might be missing something but my understanding is this project does create a QBC (or close to one if you ignore the private vehicle left turning lane prioritized instead of the bus lane)

Assuming the plan isn't changed from the above I'm not really understanding the pushback from a bus perspective, this looks like an overall improvement on that front, but I could be missing some local details.

On the roundabouts changing to signalized junctions, I think it's worth discussing roundabouts as a fantastic tool for driver safety and throughput under appropriate circumstances (balanced load, low lane count), but that can come with compromises to non vehicle accessibility, and I would be interested to hear from a bus driver what it is like merging onto one of those 3 lane roundabouts. Maybe I'm exaggerating but it doesn't look easy to me.

Dublin Buses are limited to 65km, so won't be that affected by a reduction in limit anyway.
