I was brought up RC but went to a COI national school. I have seen the two systems in action and have friends of both, mixed religions and none. Your wan, has some sort of issue from her own up bringing. One family in the school had a RC Bishop on one side and Orange men on the other side of the family. They had no issues and the children were told to be whatever they wanted.

Worth noting that the religion bashing has a nunber of themes :

    - exaggerates or spreads false information, claiming "hours of indoctrination" and implying world religions are not taught - complete lie.

    - says they are concerned about non-Catholics, often these people are Islamophobes also or mock American fundamentalist Christians. Wealthy Muslims often send their children to Catholic and CoI private schools

-The COI is a Brexit version of Catholicism and maybe they struggle being treated equally

    -Exclusively always against Catholic schools

-British, unionist sympathising and in the case of atheist Ireland cult leader and friend of Joe Duffy Michael Nugent, actually having a Protestant (state and discrimatory religion) and loyalist background - google or search boards for this.

-Various other 'right on' clueless, attention seeking, culturally void types who like to be trendy.

They are intent on making their children ignorant of the world because they think it makes them smarter. It 100% has nothing to do with lack of school options. They are always against Gaeilscoileanna aswell.

@Dublin Calling ha didn't get that joke, think it went way over the head of TV people, I forgotten the whole Ray D'Arcy technical glitch thread!, poor aul ray you'd feel sorry for him, and no bots to stand up for him!

    ______

In the end they were just greedy, they all knew one another and knew what to expect more money for no return, it was a secure cash flow, but in fairness they looked for what they wanted and fair dues to them for that, and wouldn't you be doing the same!

Just one more thing .... when did they return that car

Saw this and had to pause, when exactly did Bond decide to run for election?

MOD NOTE: Several posts removed and warnings have been issued. Ray D’Arcy is a podcaster these days. Using tge radio forum to discuss podcasters is off topic and having a go at them isn’t permitted. Stick to Liveline and the show contents folks.

    New Lad,

Homeless People: Live from Houben House, Harolds Cross. List of politicians with failed plans. The stories of the people who live here. Living in a room for a priest. The fault of policy. The size of population of Kilkenny are homeless.

New Jingle still sounds like a mess. It is like 3 or 4 musical pieces merged into one.

This is the route so many families go down. Go homeless. No dad on the scene. Get the story out there publically and hopefully get a council house where you want. near family members etc for support.

Sister in law who is a primary teacher mentioned recently that most kids now have some sort of ism or disorder. It’s handy for the mammies.

Could the granny not build a modular home in the garden?

A teacher told my daughter much of it is caused by a lack of discipline in the home.

We never get the full story with these sob stories. If the father is dead than I would have sympathy. Usually though dad is still on the seen and living somewhere else. There is no personal responsibility for their situation. They keep having kids , dont work and expect a nice house and all that goes with it for free.

    Probing questions are never asked.

Tbf, if granny only has a 1 bed flat, it's not practical to have her grandchild & great grand children living on top of her.

Having one kid if you don’t have a stable residential situation can happen anyone. Having 4… wtf???

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,665 ✭✭✭baldbear

So many people have 1,2 kids scrimp and save to get a mortgage. Then on the other hand some people play the game which is terrible for their kids in the hope of getting handed there forever home.

    Gimme! Gimme! Gimme!

Doesn't the "isms and disorders" get the parents an extra payment as a carer for the children?

  • Moderators, Entertainment Moderators, Paid Member Posts: 11,898 Mod ✭✭✭✭squonk

None of it is your fault says Kieran. Of course it’s not!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 23,860 ✭✭✭✭sligeach

Kieran: "None of this is your fault."

    They're all immaculate conditions.
