You can get front standing still. I don’t think this gig will sell well, its too soon since the last time he came here and its on midweek

Ended up getting tickets but I'm gone right off Malahide. I'll have to come up with sort of plan.

    ah okay

i still think there will be plenty of opportunities to pick up front standing between now and the date

Very casual listener to Nick Cave and heading in June to see them live for the first time

What are the 'best' documentaries of his to watch ?

This much i know to be true..

Nice combo of live performance without a crowd and some good chats too.

Must watch it again actually. Loved it the 1st time I seen it.

Is there anywhere to park up a campervan for the night in Malahide.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 456 ✭✭head82

I regularly see campervans parked up at the estuary, right next to Malahide yacht club.

Oversaturation after the 3 arenas shows.
Lykke li on support for malahide so €50 is a solid price

Feel annoyed buying my ticket before Xmas and now seeing BOGOF

Ah well, looking forward to June

JJ Kavanagh event bus up and down, no fecking about with Darts/bus etc

Yeah, it's a real kick in the teeth for people who bought early

And for those of us with no friends 🤣

I still haven't jumped. Midweek outdoor just doesn't sound as good as the 3arena show. And those tickets are general, front's obviously gone, so wouldn't even be close

    Its not working?

Not offered to me on my TM account either.

Was waiting to see i could pick something up on toutless closer to the date but would definitely buy 2 for 1 and sell the other.

Have my bus ticket sorted and off on holidays that weekend so it would be a nice run in without too much expense. Its a hell of a place to get to..nevermind back

Wonder if its a bit dodgy

Oh, might have sold out the offer allocation, sorry

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,501 ✭✭✭Ken Tucky

    Ah no worries

    Thanks

I'll keep going with my original plan so

"That link appears to be still working. I bought pre Christmas at full price unfortunately "

Scratch that no offer tickets currently available

Wonder was the BOGOF only a max of 100 or so tickets

Dublin the opening date of the tour so setlist won't be known etc

nope . Few hundred at least.
Summer tour is being billed as a wild god album tour so might be a few less album songs than 3 arena dates but still 4 or 5 from it as core section

A couple of points I'd make in relation to the gigs at Malahide Castle in 2026 (and I'm a local resident who gets to meet with the promoter each year):

    • I'm pretty sure the planning permission for all eight gigs this year notes a 30,000 capacity. Of course, that doesn't necessarily mean that there will be 30,000 tickets on sale for each gig.
    • The promoter has said that there has been minimal vehicular traffic issues in exiting the gigs for the last two years. In fact, if my memory is correct the promoter claims that all vehicles have cleared the castle grounds within 70 minutes of concerts ending.
    • Curfew is 10:30pm with a hard stop of 10:45pm (unless you're Nicki Minaj who played until 11:00pm, but didn't start until nearly 10pm).

It took is 25 minutes to get out of the car park and another 90 minutes to go 5 Km's (to Northern Cross) last year. Similar the year before that but not as bad. I know it's probably not his concern once we leave the castle grounds but nonetheless I think it's an issue, maybe with some traffic lights or something further down.

    hi

agonising a bit over the setlist….as mentioned before i'm obvs aware of them but was never a superfan as such, the 3arena gig was just superb and i had a chance to "swot" up on the set, i really like being familar with the tunes at a gig, i've been to a million good gigs (often at festivals) for acts i dont know inside out and come home and end up really getting into them and wishing i knew them better at the gigs…..so, theres so much Bad Seeds music i'll never have a hope of "learning" it all, i suppose im just hoping it will be the most recent set, i know its been mentioned here with differing opinions as to whether it will be the Wild God set, its the first gig of the tour so who knows, i suppose im just hoping someone will tell its the set!! I'd imagine there zero chance of a setlist leak? to be honest i'd go see him do a Take That covers gig, most impressive frontman i've seen and im old! cheers

Afaik Dublin is the start of a new tour with the last 'Wild God Tour' date taken place last February

Looking forward to the show next week

Seems to be a few resales up as well, wonder how many tickets sold for this? 10 - 12000?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 233 ✭✭KawaKris

Am I right in saying they closed the bars for Iron Maiden at about 9.45 last year. I know they have a curfew but it seems crazy early on summer's night. It seemed earlier than the year LCD played there but not sure. It won't really bother me anymore because I'll be expecting it.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 8,037 ✭✭✭Fanirish

curfew in malahide is 10:30 and usual licence requirement is bar closing 30 mins before curfew at a minimum but it’s closer to 45 minutes in reality
