How can he say anything about Levitt, she lies constantly for him

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,662 ✭✭✭amacca

Yes....I would be....quite nervous if I was Hegseth....

He's obviously installed as a potential patsy

Actually, come to think of it that's probably true of anyone Trump picks....

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,662 ✭✭✭amacca

I believe he has zero concept of decency, honor, loyalty....that's how....those are the traits of "losers"

As soon as it becomes expedient and even potentially beneficial to himself to shaft someone, I'd say that shafting will occur....

And if one wanted to be potentially the most reviled president of the US, those traits have served him well it seems.

You are getting in bed with a viper (a prideful, spiteful, arrogant one) if you work with him....so that means he's really only surrounded by two kinds of people...similar vipers or morons...or a mixture.

You can already see his media mouthpieces setting it all up.

They are all posing questions like "Who gave the intel to the President to go ahead with the attacks?" "How much information did they actually share with him , was he making decisions with all the information at hand?"

They are setting the scene for him to burn Hegseth and probably Caine and put all the blame on them..

Bondi and Patel will get the same treatment if the focus comes back to Epstein - They mishandled things , they screwed things up etc. etc.

Any matters of national or international importance need addressing this morning?

    Nah. 🙄

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,356 ✭✭✭✭Leroy42

What the hell was the point of that address last night? No policy, no plan, no stated outcomes. He really has led the US into a war for no reason at all. And now he has no idea how to end it or get the US out without massive damage.

But, since most US don't actually care about Iran and are happy to see the US military blow things up, he had almost nothing to say about the real issues. Cost of loving and especially gas prices. No plan, no outline of a timeline for prices to reduce, no announcement of federal plans to help with the costs. He made some, almost incoherent, statements about tax refunds, but people have already baked them in. He can't keep going back to that well.

When they started the war was supposed to last 4-6 weeks, and we have been continually told that they are ahead of schedule. But now he needs another 2-3 weeks before it ends? So are they behind schedule now?

If he actually walks away from Iran without putting boots on the ground and calls it a day within the next two weeks, it'll be one war he actually would have stopped in its tracks, even though he actually initiated the war between the two nations.

Consequentially he does not merit a medal or prize for doing so, just a stroll down the lawn to the gates where he'd be formally stripped of anthing related to the presidency and pushed out the gates unto Pennsylvania Avenue minus any federal security team.

If Bondi and/or Patel have anything related to brains, they'd have ensured they have unredacted copies of certain files.

I had a brother at Khe Sanh
    Fightin' off them Viet Cong
They're still there, he's all gone
He had a woman he loved in Saigon
I got a picture of him in her arms now

You forgot that there military capabilities are nothing now but we still need another 3 weeks.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,137 ✭✭✭For Petes Sake

Yep. The address won't work so he will look to blame someone else. He's already indicated that Hegseth is right in his firing line so I wouldn't be surprised if we get that firing soon enough.

All the news channels will then hire these sycophants as 'analysts' and they'll maintain the party line despite being shafted. Scaramucci is probably the only one who really turned on him.

He is just swinging randomly at Keir Starmer and Macron. It is time for the EU to take a stronger stance against him

Taking about the 2026 tax time… This will be a bit anecdotal obviously but I follow a car dealer in SC on Youtube who's only focus is $5000 or below cars, all cash, no loans, for several years now. They have a yearly boom and bust cycle in selling with a big upswing hitting at tax refund time with them going up to 150+ cars in preparation and sell through the lot. They usually have to spend a month or so after this with no cars simply because the cars before tax time (all bought at auction) goes up significantly as all other dealers stock up in preparation as well and they remain high afterwards as dealers rush in to refill their lots for the late stragglers. They usually don't buy any after the tax time for a month or two as they can't get the tax time premium on price back when selling them (as people lose the cash injection to splurge). This means they do a lot of sales in Feb/March and then start to restock about a month later when prices normalize again basically.

Well this year things went differently; not only did they not sell through their full lot as usual but they could already start to replenish cars early meaning the other dealers were not pushing up prices to restock their lots respectively. Hence even with the "biggest tax back ever" a lot of people seem not to have had the money to buy a car (and cars are obviously more or less required in the USA for a job) compared to earlier years. This is not surprising in and of itself but it does show a significant weakness in people's wallet this year which is not helped at all by Trump's actions and it is likely to reflect in the November election as well.

They won't, because if we're really honest nobody benefits from a slagging match with Trump.

Starmer and Macron will go and do their own thing and (particularly the latter) will speak up when it's necessary to do so, which arguably winds up Trump even more.

If I were Hegseth, I'd take that as a lucky escape tbh

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 19,535 ✭✭✭✭rob316

You could but this oil crisis he has created is very real and we will be looking to the US and if it gets real bad, Putin to fill the gap. If and when this does end, europe need to seriously looking at future relationships with the US and Israel. Israel I want to see sanctioned to oblivion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,137 ✭✭✭For Petes Sake

Hegseth is, and always has been, a f*cking loser though. He'll still go out to bat for Trump in the media if he does get shafted.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,542 ✭✭✭✭everlast75

    Lol

The Guardian are reporting that Trump has privately been asking cabinet members whether he should fire Tulsi Gabbard!

This is hilarious. He's flailing and it's great to see.

I mean, if you can't rely upon 3 chief justices that you bought, what is the world coming to?

How can he bet on Polymarket when he's not in the room though? He'd likely want to stay

Although maybe he'll be fired but nobody will remember to remove him from the Signal chat so he'll still get the info

Everyone is useless, apart from himself of course, who "is right about everything".

Reminds me a bit of Trigger and "having the same broom for the last 20 years."

Everything around Trumpper gets replaced. But the one constant is an idiot, namely himself, which he is oblivious to.

Macron has responded to comments about him by Trump as a statesman/leader should, calling them unserious, and not even dignifying comments about his wife with a response. They were also directed to journalists, not directly at the prick on social media.

Starve of the response/oxygen he so desperately craves

If she wasn't willing to drink the Kool aid down to the dregs she should've just resigned like Kent. Trying to put a bit of space between her and Trump over Iran was only going to end one way…

Most world leaders will keep their powder dry as it's pointless tangling with him.

Every current world leader will probably have a chapter in their memoirs about him though...Chapter 17, The Moron
