Given the day that's in it, Trump should dress up as the World's biggest Fool that he is, for his address to the nation tonight.

Iran’s president rejects perception of Iran as a threat, in open letter addressed to American people

Iran’s president Masoud Pezeshkian has rejected portrayals of Iran as a security threat, and described the perception of it as such as a product of the “political and economic whims of the powerful”.

In an open letter addressed to the people of the United States and carried by state media outlet Press TV, he argued that Iran’s modern record is defensive.

“Iran, by this very name, character, and identity – is one of the oldest continuous civilisations in human history,” he wrote.

“Iran has never, in its modern history, chosen the path of aggression, expansion, colonialism, or domination ... Iran has never initiated a war. Yet it has resolutely and bravely repelled those who have attacked it.”

He continued: “Portraying Iran as a threat is neither consistent with historical reality nor with present-day observable facts. Such a perception is the product of political and economic whims of the powerful, the need to manufacture an enemy in order to justify pressure, maintain military dominance, sustain the arms industry, and control strategic markets.” – The Guardian

While reading that I had a flashback of Bill Clinton saying "I did not have sexual relations with that woman".

Regardless of whether there is truth or lies in that statement, it reads as one made by a statesman and not a moron. Someone you can do a deal with and not a big child. No name calling, just a statement of facts as they see them. A line of thought for the world to mull over and ask is there a grain of truth in this.

It's a sad state of affairs that any utterance by any US politician can be just dismissed as playing up to the big baby. And long after Trump is dead, they will be reminded of him and a beady eye can be leveled at them for years to come. You guys voted for the idiot who wreaked a world economy for his own personal gain. He will make the Marcos family in the Philippines seem like saints by comparison.

I had to check the label on what I was drinking.

Shows the state of things when IRAN sounds reasonable compared to the US right now.

    Wild.

And unfortunately, after all these years the Marcoses are back in power……

That podcast just brought home to me how Trump and this administration have managed to do what very few though possible. And do it in such a short space of time as well.

Fail so abjectly in everything they have touched in the last 15 months. When you think about it, it really has to be a world record, and one that will never be beaten.

If you think trump is bad in front of journalists, check the Easter lunch video apparently uploaded by the WH unintentionally. Tells Erika to sue their asses, followed by looking for a fat JD vance, and he's much thinner now. And of course slagging off Starmer and Macron all in the first 10 minutes. He really is an insufferable moron

I don't think Trump was falsely accused or falsely arrested.

The only linkage here is when you see "Donald J Trump" written down, all you can think is "Jesus H Christ" followed by "what has the fool said/done now?"

The problem as far as I can see is he never paid any real or meaningful price for any of his many many fcuk ups

His pride, arrogance, stupidity, and position in life insulated from ever developing anything like conscience, class or grace.......He had better hope God is the forgiving new testament type....actually that shouldn't matter...I'd imagine he's going to the same location as the likes of Putin et al if there's any justice...unless he is completely mentally impaired/delusional.

Some brood of vipers there surrounding him, hard to believe that hatchet woman really believes what she is saying....and if she does.......what a misguided moron to be pitied as well.

The lies and delusion already in this speech is off the charts. He's the most dangerous man on the planet.

Speech(Ramblings of a mad man) over after 20 minutes.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 60 ✭✭Timesheet

I just stayed up to listen to 20 minutes of rambling rubbish.

"We have all the cards and they have none"

He has no idea what he is doing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,663 ✭✭✭amacca

    Yep...a complete pr1ck and a moronic one....

Shouldn't be in charge of putting out the bins...unless he was to end up in them.

Trump: "They(Iran) were the bullies of the Middle East, but they're the bullies no more."

Israel is the bully of the Middle East. Far worse than that, they are a despotic, tyrannical, genocidal State, aided and abetted by America.

All he cared about today was everyone was watching the Artemis launch and he felt he was losing his limelight so needed to give a speech to make sure everyone didn't forget about him

That was absolutely hilarious. I am so happy I watched that. I think this speech will mark the beginning of the end of this human turd.

He started the speech slurring, he honestly looked like he was mid stroke. He projected the exact opposite of power and strength.

He proceeded to lie again and again about how respected his warmongering actions over the part few months in Venezuela and Iran are in both America and around the world.

He was absolutely all over the place, mentioned that there is regime change, but said that regime change was never the aim. He said the US have won numerous times, and also said numerous times that it will take 2-3 more weeks of bombing to actually win. He mentioned previous wars the US were involved in, as a comparison to show that they've only been bombing Iran for 32 days. He thought he was being clever calling it a military operation, but compared it to all the other major wars.

He mentioned gas prices for about 3 seconds. The dumbest of Americans won't be fooled by him brushing over this. He said he was doing this in Iran for the American kids if today and their future children. He threw in the racist Barrack Hussein Obama line, absolutely childish and embarrassing.

I think this speech will be absolutely disastrous amongst the Republican base. I expect his popularity numbers to absolute plummet after this. He looked like a senile, deranged fool who didn't know his arse from his elbow.

He has looked like that for quite some time…since the mid 1980s I'd say...well maybe not senile back then....

It's not the speech that will do it given the horseshit the core base/cult members have willingly swallowed thus far...its the real world effects on their pockets might get through to their tiny tiny minds....

Listen to his senile childish ramblings about fcuking sharpies a day or two ago....actually listen to most of what he has said publicly at any point in his life...its embarassing....it didn't stop him getting sufficient votes from the intellectually challenged over there.
