Yeah, I doubt the CP actually had 350kw to give you.

Funny enough I went to Galway on Saturday to collect a van in the Cupra Tavascan, drive down pretty quickly at 120/130 and was at 24kwh/100kms getting there. On the way back i drove slowly at same speed as van around 100/110 and got under 17kwh/100kms, big difference.

At 24kwh my max range would be about 320kms which is rubbish, at 17kwh it would be about 470 which is great.

Shows how speed affects range massively, could have been a wind direction factor too but wasnt paying attention to that.

It was an Ionity charger 350KW first time ever using one. This would have being my 3rd/4th time ever using a public charger.

Best I ever saw on ionity was about 240....that was in a kia ev6 with 800v architecture. It was at 2% SOC plugging in though and driven for a long time beforehand so warm battery.

My own car is limited to 135 but I do see those kinds of speeds most times I use ionity.

Id expect an a6 etron to get 200+ in right conditions at least while at low SOC

As i don't use public chargers that often i set the satnav to the M6 services about a 45 min drive from where i was in Galway (Galway/Roscommon border). So is that how you preheat the battery etc arrived with about 28kwh.

That's about 30% SOC roughly? Not quite low enough to draw the big power. Also a 45 min preheat isn't huge - typically I see my own yoke start to preheat about 90 mins from a charger - obviously depending on location etc.

I have manual preconditioning option which i use and it usually says about 30 mins to optimum temperature

Ok just say I'm leaving Dublin heading for Kilarney and plan to stop off at Apple green Birdhill services for a pit stop. Do i just click that charger unit on the map and the car will preheat the battery etc? So with a lower SOC and using a 350kw charger it will charge a lot quicker.

    Looks like that will work

A6/Q6 is also capable of Plug and Charge with Ionity if you setup the Audi Pro Charging which should have been free for the first year, no need to use app, pre auth etc.

    I find on the Q6 with Ionity, below 20% SOC I will get about 250kW - 255kW, plugging in with 20% - 30% about 170kW -190kW, 30% - 40 % 140kW/ 150kW.

Preheating only works if you navigate to charger in Car MMI , i.e. dont use apple maps/ googlemaps / waze / ABRP etc.

A6 Etron questions for those who may know:

Laneassist and speed warnings - is there an easier way to turn them off every time than having to go into the MMI menu and selecting them EVERY time I drive?

Renault scenic has a button on the dash you press once to revert to your previous, anything like that?

Similar question for regen breaking, I like full power, one pedal driving if you like. Requires 2 clicks on the steering wheel every time. Anyway to set it once? Polestar it’s a permanent setting per driver profile unless you want to change it again which makes the most sense.

So far my impression is the MMI is pretty **** compared to the android system

On the Q6 (same platform as A6), you can configure the favourite button on the steering wheel to mute the speed limit warning. You can probably do the same for Lane Keeping assisit but it doesnt bother me but the "favourite" function would only be able to disable one or the other.

Default driving mode would be "D" mode, you flick gear level down once more to go go into full one pedal driving "B" mode, setting cant be configured, will default to "D" on each journey.

To be honest, I came from a Tesla Model Y was used to one pedal driving but its very rare I will use it on the Q6, I enable the auto regen setting on "D" mode so car will coast when I lift off the accelerator , but will slow down if it detects a car in front or coming up up to junction / roundabout / speed change - howver wont come to a complete stop unlike B mode.

Actually if I remember correctly, if you long press on the button on the end of the indicator stalk it will disable lane keeping assist.

Developed a “manoeuvre assist fault” on my under warranty E Tron GT . No problem sure I’ll just ring Audi north Dublin. They couldn’t possibly be any worse to deal with than Audi south.
No problem our next available appointment is 9 weeks away at the start of June 🤦🏻‍♂️

Love the car but my god the service is appalling

Any links to anything official from Audi UK on what exactly is being covered ? Thanks
