    McGahern is a rare breed of Irish comedian from his demographic that isn't annoying. Comes across as sound and I like his style of comedy.

    I don’t see the attraction of Doireann, but she appears everywhere. She also seems to be able to sell out ‘shows’ & the husband does the same. Is it the instagram followers buying these tickets,she isn’t remotely funny?

    Strange to think that the rumour of Keilty leaving are due to family commitments. TBH I'd have no really issue with this arguement from Keilty but its not like he has to go to RTÉ everyday of the week.

    As we come into the summer months for RTÉ I often wonder if I should have become a teacher and then remind myself I should have stop giving out about RTÉ and applied for a job there.

    Ah! I think I will begrudge them their busman's holidays, oh! there's a job!

    In the end they were just greedy, they all knew one another and knew what to expect more money for no return, it was a secure cash flow, but in fairness they looked for what they wanted and fair dues to them for that, and wouldn't you be doing the same!

    Just saw the interview with pat Kenny on YouTube there now, was one of the few genuinely interesting guests on who has loads of stories from his long career in broadcasting. He used to be denigrated for being boring but in hindsight it was probably plain old begrudgery that was really behind that.

    I thought RTE never got on people from rival broadcasters on the LLS . I wonder has tubridy been looking to get on for an interview with kielty or is that a step too far.

    I’m a big fan of Kenny. The undisputed broadcasting pro of his generation. But there’s no doubt that he was terribly wooden in entertainment interviews.

    Just watching it back now. Great television to see Kenny take a subtle dig at the LLS when he said Enoch Burke would have been top of his list to interview. Kielty squirmed and stuttered something about parameters and legal obligations, saying you just couldn’t do it now. Why couldn’t you do it now?? Only cowardice and political bias.

    There are plenty of others that could and won't be on TLLS, and wouldn't have been welcome when the real PK was there.

    PK had no nose for controversy or even wanting to go down that road. He was a safe pair of hand.

    Blondie got on the show, Pat had just interviewed his canteen guest RTÉ's crime correspondent about his new book about crime. One of the band members want to cotinue to conversation about vice, "who cares if someone wants a lap dance etc", Pat gets nerveous and swiftly moves the conversation along.

    The New PK has has done exactly what RTÉ wanted a safe pair of hands that won't f-ing rock the boat.

    The New PK should have ask about Ray D'Arcy view on his wage while he was on RTÉ.

    Agreed it's not just EB.

    Nobody in a similar situation would be much use as a guest on the LLS.

    As for the two PKs they are safe enough.
