Dr. Robbie being a complete hardass to Langdon (benzo guy) & Mohan (panic attack) is a bit out of character, makes him unlikeable.

I thought the people were overreacting to 2 ICE in the ED… Are 2 ICE really going arrest an extra white person?

Yeah that whole storyline gives me the ick: the reality of mentally disabled women in care centres is that grooming, coercion and straight-up rape but instead this is all about the over controlling sister who in the end is simply jealous that her sister is having loads of great sex and she isn’t.

Yes because you call them fascist when the left are also fascists only in a deceptive way - underground anti -immigration movements via barristers etc - and underground insurrections - via guerillas etc. So one is honest the other is a liar but both sides are fascists.

I posted this from the film section not knowing this thread was in process:

I’m not sure what to make of this new show the Pitt with Noah Wyle starring and producing. Crichton was a very adept writer and producer for ER?, even moreso, than Sorkin is for other productions. However, I have liked Wyle ever since he was on ER. I sometimes wonder am I drawn to these shows as an alternate existence I would have had if I had made different career choices or life decisions and I am happy to see good people living out that existence for me in alternate universes. It gives me consolation that in other dimensions, there are good people doing good things. Anyway, the show looks like a reboot of ER but with a twist on it. Both are emergency room ICU shows, both paeans to our mothers (Wyle’s and my own), and this is a must watch for me along with "the Madison" and "Shrinking".

I don't think you know what the word fascist means.

Anyway, another good episode, I'm enjoying the season so far.

It's an interesting story line. Does the punishment fit the crime which is what Santos is pissed about and Robbie is pissed because of betrayal of trust. Then on the other hand should there not be some level of forgiveness now that Langdon is on the recovery path and trying to make amends. Of course it's highly dramatised, you'd imagine in real life if he did manage to keep his license that he wouldn't be allowed back to the same hospital.

Suggestion from Santos is that details that would have cost him his licence weren't shared, no? I.e. as the golden boy they protected him.

Staff might be quite easily understanding that a colleague is an addict who needs help. Knowing that they stole hospital (and patient!) medicine is a different tale entirely. The authorities and most of the staff don't know.
