Not sure about other makes, I think Ioniq 5's from the 2025 facelift onward don't need it. Even though they have the same coolant.

I asked our dealer to test the conductivity of the coolant. They did i think, and said no change was needed. This was early last summer.

The coolant change is based on fires in ionic 3 some time back and to do with corrosion in the enclosures of batteries. Battery shorting due to conduction in coolant resulted from that. Now the enclosures are better made and the issue isn't occurring. Conductivity of coolant indicates if there is an issue.

Kia EV6 has 10 years or 220kkm whichever comes first. I'm not sure about Inster.

@prosaic Iasked that as well, was told they don't do that.

That'sjust the coolant change on its own, I'm getting the full service done as well. Although the same dealer quoted me 439 for that!

I'm looking at a 2022 Ioniq5 from a non Hyuandi dealer. They have just carried out the 4 year service themselves. From my understanding this will keep the warrenty intact. I asked the salesperson I was chatting to if they changed the coolant, which he said they would have. The warrnety booklet is stamped, but I'm wondering what sort of proof that the coolant has been changed you get from Hyuandi? I want to make sure it is recorded if there are issues down the line.

Just ask them for a printout of the job sheet or sales prep invoice for the car.

    Makes sense. Thanks!

Got an email there saying the Bluelink app is being discontinued end of March and to move over to the MyHyundai App. Has anyone moved over to MyHyundai app and does it have all the same features?

haven't noticed anything missing, seems a better app than the bluelink one

I have seen a 2023 Ioniq 5 in the UK, 77kwh premium spec, it comes with V2l and a trailer wiring package , are these standard on the equivlaent ROI model or an extra , and if extra approx what cost . Im not certain but I think the UK premium spec is one up from basic

A friend Ioniq 5 was stolen from their driveway last night using a 'Game Boy' device they told me (I had to google it!). The car went offline just after 3am & no sign since. This is in Germany so they're not expecting to see it come back.

Why don't you save us googling it and explain what you found out.

Anything to look out for in a used Ioniq 5? I'm aware there's an ICCU issue, but can this be completely resolved under warranty, or just replaced and hope for the best?

Looking at a 2023 Platinum or similar specs.

Just replaced and hope for the best unfortunately.

Yes original 12V will be coming near end of life so good idea to replace if it hasn't been already.

Android Auto and the Iphone equivalent may not work, Hyuandai will not fix this under warranty , if the car is > 3 years old, their stance is this is realted to the infotaimment system , warranty is three years for :

    infotaimment system

Apart from that , very reliable car

Hi folks, seems like I'm starting to have Android Auto issues with my 231 Ioniq 5. Never had an issue before even though I saw some folks complain about it. Have tried changing cables, using the best quality cable that came with the phone, as well as testing the issue on multiple phones to rule that out.

Just wondering what others have done?

Is Ionity Premium available for use in Ireland on Hyundai's....the 27cent/kWh rate.

Thinking about buying an Ioniq 5 but do good mileage - would need to fast charge once of twice a week

my recollection from reading other posts was there is an issue with the usb port. Not sure is the issue with wireless version hope someone can clarify

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,091 ✭✭✭k123456

get to your hyuandai service centre quick, before they fob you off , they will claim this is OOW

    Before you do that

test with a spare phone and a different cable

if two phone and two different cables do not fix the issue, its likely to be the car, to confirm this ; test with the two phones, and cables in a different car, if all good at this point

you can be fairly sure the issue is with the car

Next step update car firmware , or get the service centre to do it

Next step , either the USB port you use in the car or the infotainment system needs replacing, hopefully under warranty

Using a wireless adapter will not fix

Mine was booked for a service this am, they claim it might be a loose connection between my phone USB port and my cable , i explained < i have ruled this out ; because I have taken my two phones and two USB cables , to other cars , and no issue in other cars, ie the issue follows the car and not the phones/ cables, if they do fix the issue, can you clarify with them how did they fix , please

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,091 ✭✭✭k123456

Mooneys service centre Sandyford , did fix my Android issue. My battery SOH is 100% , how is that possible for a year 22 88000km car. I think its been charged at 'fast' chargers about 10 tens total, maybe thats a factor

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 1,618 ✭✭✭JohnySwan

Did Hyundai tell you it's at 100%? It's not possible, Hyundai tell porkies when it comes to SOH.

they use some sort of diags machine, from the gui of the machine I see "Smart EV Solution" from there they take a picture , and print out the results

I am half thinking of buying two more used EVS ,and I am not up to speed, but my understanding I can check this myself, using an app, a cable and

    OBD-II port

Does one app, work across all car brands
