I thought all runners were designed for the gym or running, tennis etc.

What difference does it make which ones you wear with your jeans?

It could have been a few bins chatting about rubbish.

Well I dunno about you but I certainly wouldn't be nipping out for a 5k jog in my Stan Smiths.

It's about matching form to function for me. I'd think it equally as silly-looking if someone was wearing ONs with their slacks in the office. Or Oxfords with shorts and a t-shirt in the park.

Had to look up what Stan Smiths are. Would you go jogging in jeans though? Not really following the argument.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 15,716 ✭✭✭✭Dial Hard

Of course I wouldn't. I'm saying I don't like the look of "sports" runners (for want of a better word) with jeans. They don't work together, imo. Other people clearly disagree.

(Also whatever happened to not going against the TA? TA'd at having to explain my own TA 🤣)

That fcuking Heritage Council advert at the bottom of the screen (on desktop PC).

First of all ads crept into that space now they have **** animated ads that distract you from what you are reading.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Watching the Patrick’s Day Parade on RTE, why the actual f@ck do the presenters insist on prattling on with nonsense when I would prefer to hear the bands.

woken up at somewhere around 5.00am by my squealing neighbours and their friends….

No peep out of them all night..had their shindig indoors thanks to the weather I presume but leaving..the pricks stood out at the front door for 10 minutes, squealing and shrieking. ” EEEEEEEE HAHA OHHH.. GOD.. YEAH.. EEEEEEEE OHHH, GOD…HAHA... YEAH !!” I take an age to get to sleep but it takes a war to wake me…squealing of “EEEEEEEEEmay be attributed to ADHD, but I don’t care, I’m entitled to sleep for my own health. Wänkers….

You might have to put up with that for fifteen years, apparently the lifespan of a pigeon is about fifteen to twenty years. 😆

Getting a phonecall on my day off from someone about a parcel belonging to his wife going missing. It was left in the bin as usual but they were away and it was put out for collection by the neighbour. It had nothing to do with me.

    - if they had the werewithal to tell their neighbour to put out the bin when they were away, which they did, they surely could have had the same preparedness to inform either the postman or the neighbour to take in any parcels too. It can even be an instruction on the scanner.

    - mad how the neighbours either side have no problem leaving parcels at the doorstep but she is precious about them. If it was left out on the step, neighbour would have retrieved it when putting bin out for them.

-they stressed that they didn't want to get the postman in trouble but if they go to customer care, it'll come back to him anyway.

-why is she getting her husband to do her bidding?

You'd swear I was running the show with the amount of people that contact me for things out of my control.

Its really not rocket science. Most are 5-6 minutes give or take depending on your Microwave. With our 750W 6 minutes does most of not all ready meals and 13 minutes if they are frozen.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Morocco awarded Afcon title after CAF overturns result

It's not so much that it trivially annoys me, it's more that it reaffirms that we are living in a Clown World.

More than trivial, there seems to be an increase in people smoking.
In particular, famous people who have a huge base of highly impressionable fans.
It seems to have become somewhat fashionable.

I just can’t get my head around the stupidity. 🤬

Best driving habit I’ve developed is reverse parking my car on arrival, especially when visiting family (so many kids!)

Lady if you email me at 16.47 on Friday you do not get to email again at 10.48 on Monday asking why you haven't got a response yet. I've barely drank my tea. Fcuk off.

Amazon - this time its reviews.

Wrote a review and it was accepted. Despite a damaged product I gave a good review because of the way Amazon dealt with it.

Then after review was published I added a picture. Then they pulled the review? Doesn't meet community guide lines.

Wake me up when it's all over.

Avoca gone to shíte after the Aramark take over. One slice of sourdough bread, two poached eggs which were boiled and a meagre amount of avocado. Slip in a coffee, that’ll be €20.

Second/third generation Irish immigrants in Leeds who like to wear their Irishness on their sleeves - Gaelic sports etc - and like to fly the tricolour on St. Patrick's day, but who don't know whether orange or green should be positioned towards the flag-pole, as it were . . . quite a few people celebrating the Ivory Coast yesterday here in Leeds. It's not the incorrect flying of the flag that I find annoying, but the clowns responsible.

I find it depends on the background colour of the fabric and the thickness and distance of the stripes.
