I was batch 1 and fitness test was only last Friday. So they are slowly getting through them

Ok great to know what's happening with others. Thanks all. I don't think we get tracking for clearance form...just garda getting right? Which I havn't even received yet. Hopefully it will pick up soon for us all.

About 4 or 5 weeks notice for the fitness test. It's very doable. Just try and practice the shuttle run and remember you only need to do the run once. So don't give up and pace yourself don't go out too fast

Yeah did the fitness 13th of March and got a phone call today and offered a contract

I’m also batch 1 and did my fitness on the 13th of march and am starting on the 20th of April

I’m in batch one a load of us still waiting on fitness test , so if your batch 3 I’d say it’s a good bit off

Hi, @MarMur24 , same — sent mine off early December and heard nothing since. BUT I’ve a couple of other citizenships and worked abroad as well….

@MarMur24 @Nikabert also batch 2. Security clearance submitted December and also have citizenship abroad and was away 10 years, still no update but it's promising that someone from batch 2 has a medical done 🤞

seen on the ips social media that 150 prison officers graduated yesterday and all have been given jobs in different prisons around the country. Does that mean we are going to be waiting longer for things to move

Something tells me that’s probably the last batches from the 2024 intake, plus a few from earlier batches who were delayed with their checks. I don’t think it affects our intake at all tbh — the whole process is just slow in general. They go first, then we’re up.
