Starts on Sky One from Monday March 16th, one episode weekly at 9pm.

"To follow knowledge like a sinking star..." (Tennyson's Ulysses)

I DO NOT miss the days of having to wait a week for the next episode of a thing to air.

There are a few episodes of Andor where you'd be dying to watch the next episode.

With Andor season 2, they released 3 episodes each week, with each 3 episodes being a different year/sub-story. That approach worked really well as it gave you enough time to stop and digest each story arc while still giving you the binge factor of sitting down and blasting through all three episodes if you wanted.

Funnily enough I think I did binge Andor Season 2 in 3 episode bites. Or maybe 2x2 and then 2x3.

Sorry if this is a duplicate post but they are airing the first few episodes free on YouTube. And Holy God it's even better than the original trilogy.

I re-watched it last week. There was both pros and cons to it. It was nice to watch it in bundles of what was a bit like 4 movies. The production was certainly movie standard.

The drawback of bundling story arcs into 3 episodes, was the end felt rushed. The amount of time spent with the idiots on the planet in the first 3 episodes, was hard to take, when everything with Lonnie at the end, was too rushed. And whatever happened with Perrin, Mon, Davo and is wife wasn't even shown or filmed. The show needed another hour at least.

I can get over all that, because it was so good.

The first 3-4 episodes that were all to do with the wedding(which I could not really care about), should really have been trimmed down because the last 3-4 episodes felt rushed.

But the good bits were so so good, I can forgive the wedding, and the rushed ending.

I liked the wedding. Lots of relevant stuff to the plot was going on throughout. And great world building. But the idiots on the planet story could and should have been all done in a few minutes. It was the only bit of rewatching the two series that felt like a drag.

Yeah I didn't really like it at the time, but I think so much time was spent on it partially because it's revealed the planet is Yavin and the groups are two sects of the rebellion, so it's to help show the rebellion's growth over the few years; from disorganised chaos with poorly-trained groups to a full-on military base.
