Does anyone have an issue when changing channels, there is a black screen for almost a full second with every change. Is it a box setting?

also check video settings may have defaulted to auto I use 1080i or 1080p. Say skin in use

Video setting are set to 1080i the skin is slyk-1080-r19

I tried some other skins but the delay still remains when channel hopping

those channels are so try hd ones like bbc1 etc then change skin to simple 1080 and turn the hdmi lead around push in firmly.

Apologies if this has been asked before.. I have a Zgemma h7s with the latest Open ATV image.

If I want to use a unicable LNB with it do I have to split the coax in to both sat tuners? Or can I just put the single coax in to tuner A and use E2 settings to achieve the same effect?

I don't think the H7S has FBC tuners but I don't think they are needed to avoid having to use the splitter but I could be wrong.

Any suggestions as to what unicable LNB to use?

The H7S does not have FBC tuners so the benefits of UNICABLE are minimal but one cable from dish is easier than 2 or 4 or 8!! What you can do is buy a 2 way split and put it at the box end and you now have Tuner A and Tuner B. To configure you change from simple to advanced. NB It has to be UNICABLE 11. This one will work and its recognised by box.

Its on amzon de 39 euro and I have it with a uno4kse so..

It say SCR 24 and that means with FBC tuners you could have 24 tuners but with a twin FBC tuner you get 16. Ignore the fact it has legacy outputs.

With unicable on the H7S what you may/will find that you can only record 2 channels but if they are on same transponders you can watch or record others but not 16 at any one time.

Thoughts on a non working box with a new issue that i have not checked out yet

Box is powered on as bright display on front of unit and no connection via WEBIF or remote.

When box freezes i have to power off at rear to fix it

1 sat cable 1 saorview running vix image

Strange thing is time is working but 15 mins out ??

Not got to check externally powered 2 tb hdd or took the top off to check 1 tb ssd internal

EPG going to internal ssd.

Not got a chance to check power supply or internal bulging caps

Thoughts? as not powered it off at rear as off yet.

Yes old version that takes internal drive

Powered off and on and back working for the moment.

Funny thing is remote is working from same position where it not worked days earlier which sounds very odd.

For anyone that is using a ps3 tuner to have a dual tuners on saorview am I missing something easy.

I turned everything off and connected the tuner.

This is the signal level on tuner c which is the sairview tuner on the zgemma

HHowver this is the signal level on the new tuner when using the same (or a different feed) aerial connection.

Have the channel listings but no picture.

Any ideas as to what I have done incorrectly?

I have downloaded the dib0700 driver

Using openvix 6.8.003 and simple 1080

Disable the internal tuner plug aerial into ps3 direct do a reboot and then check, make it ireland etc. You could check to see if driver is detected go to plugins press red look under drivers.

You may have to do a hard reboot, switch off at back. Are u using the usb cable that came with tuner.

you cant have 5 tuners dont be greedy 😁

Oops I forgot to add and very important you WON’T get a signal reading only AGC, so maybe 5 tuners will work.

you should get channels tuned in. I’ll check my readings.

no box sees tuner as dvb t and it does. Not really matter as long as it gets a good signal. It may show as T2 if used in uk . I can’t check.

I didn't manage to get the ps3 tuner working so said I would try swapping the cable. The usb a to micro b ( with the ferrite choke like the original) were quite expensive so for less I got an xbox one tv tuner and its working perfectly for what I want.

This does seem to have the same mode and combined part as the inbuilt tuner so maybe thats why it was easier?

Will stay trying with the ps3 tuner to make sure it works before try sell it.

Is there a chance the ps3 tuner might need a powered usb hub?

No u can use other usb cable does not need ferrite but better with it. i plugged one into a h2s with ordinary cable and its ok.check connector on ps3 fluff, dust etc. u were getting a lock so should get channels.

yes ber at 2million would be no picture!! im getting quite a lot now that was on ch21 , i have another ps3 on a better box, give me a mo, fottie on

i checked on uno 4kse with correct cable rock solid no ber. ill swop cable tomoro just for interst, vix on uno, opeanatv on h2s

after following this thread from the beginNing, selling my H7S box. It comes with 980gb Kingston SSD -- on Adverts for 150. < Edit - sold after 10minutes of being listed on adverts!>

Have ‘upgraded’ to a recordable Freesat box - and plugged Saorview directly into the TV. Plan to use VPN via TP DECO mesh to set the freesat to UK to get I player/ ITV HUB…

Sold after about 15mins! Being collected tonight…. I got my use out of it- but my wife was never comfortable using it so went with something more user friendly..

Hopefully my new box lasts longer than end of 2029, when the current Freesat carrier agreement with Sky ends!
