With the news that Robert Duvall has died here's a reminder of the time he starred in A shot at glory as Ally McCoist's father-in-law. Stars a load of ex Rangers and Celtic players, often switching sides (McCoist is an ex Celtic player and Didier Agathe plays for Rangers).

While Chermiti did very well for his second goal, it was poor from Araujo and terrible from Murray.

Better from Celtic in the second half. Very good header from Tierney to get it back to 2-1. 30 mins left.

Not often you see a handball causing a penalty and no card issued. Right decision on both counts. Awful penalty but got lucky on the rebound, eventually. 2-2 and all up for grabs in injury time

Is this going to be the most exciting SPL finish in a long time?

A 3 horse race.

Building up to be a great finale, biased as a Celtic fan but I think the games after the split might prove too intense for Hearts and the fact Celtic have Rangers and Hearts at home might be enough to see us get across the line.

Fully deserved winners too, they had the best chances throughout. Goodwin always comes across well. They had a horrible day last week conceding 2 in injury time to Dundee, so lovely to see the bounce back

Hearts winning would be far better than Celtic/Rangers rattling off another title. Would it have been better if Man City or Liverpool won the Premier League in 2016 instead of Leicester City. That season was memorable fir the under dog nature of Leicester City.

Tony Bloom is running Hearts so they’re a better run club than Celtic are right now.

Celtic are in serious trouble as a club. A board under an absentee landlord Dermot Desmond that haven’t been fit for purpose for years. They’ve been getting away with it winning most trophies domestically because they’re the biggest club with the biggest fanbase but they didn’t push on in Europe and try to keep developing as a club.

They’re in a mess now and need to get rid of Desmond and the defunct board asap and even then face a year or two where they’ll be in recovery mode. Tony Bloom came into Hearts saying he wanted to win the league in 5 years. Celtic falling apart and Rangers still not great either means they could get there much sooner than that. I think they could build on it because they are using modern analytics methods and tools that despite being quarter the size of Celtic for example will put them ahead of Celtic until such time that Celtic get their act together.

Still a way to go to decide this season’s title race but I think Hearts are on a good trajectory. Whereas Celtic are in a mess and it could get worse if Desmond and his minions continue to hang around.

I'm not saying that at all.

What I'm saying is that if Hearts win the SPL it will be newsworthy and interesting for a while but on the whole won't "be great for Scottish soccer".

It will be neutral for Scottish soccer, it won't have a lasting impact, just like Leicester City winning the EPL did not have a lasting impact.

A great story, sure, but little else.
