I use xplore file manager on all my android devices including the quest 3.

You can use the WiFi server feature to transfer files and apks from one android device to another and vice versa. It even works with split apks.

And it's freemium too, although I have the paid version on my phone.

It's an absolute swiss army knife when it comes to file management, definitely thr best one imo since ES File Explorer went to ****.

It is the best Ive seen.

Like mrcheez I factory reset roughly every 6 months. Seems to clear up a lot of passthrough issues for me among other things.

Id pay the 15 euro to be able to download AnExplorer any time from the meta store without sidequest.

Then I'll use it to install X-Plore 😆. Wont hurt to have 2 file explorers.

So what exactly does QGO do?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2 BitWalker

Metro Awakening is absolutely spot on with the atmosphere, even if the mechanics feel a bit stripped back compared to the flat versions at first. I had the same issue with the seated play—grabbing stuff off your chest was a nightmare. Tweaking the height calibration in the settings fixed it for me though, now I can play from the couch without any clunky tracking issues. It’d be a real shame if the sales don't hold up, the VR market definitely needs more solid story-driven games like this.

Makes Quest 1080p look like 4K … more or less 😁

(not those literal resolutions, but more like how to compare the before and after effect)

Horizon Feed being replaced by Navigator starting in v85

As announced during Connect, we’ve been testing Navigator and will ramp up the rollout later this year, starting in v85. As Navigator rolls out, we’ll also begin gradually sunsetting the Horizon Feed in VR.

    https://communityforums.atmeta.com/discussions/News_and_Announcements/horizon-feed-being-replaced-by-navigator-starting-in-v85/1363701

Sounds good to me. Im on v83 at the moment.

A lot of ye have Blud already from when it dropped to €0.99

This bundle includes Cues which looks interesting and loads of 5 star ratings and made by same dev

    https://www.meta.com/en-gb/experiences/mr-goodies/864396142803918/

It's €0.51 if you own Blud (normally 1.99) and use promo code QGO (or whatever affiliate code you like)

Absolutely amazing if its true, but just sounds too good.

Nearly double FOV of a Q3, OLED, 50% higher Res, 50% more GPU Perf, Better battery, far improved passthrough cameras, Eye, Face tracking, lighter and reasonably priced for it being non subsidized.

    Bullshit alarms are going off.

Had already decided i was jumping onto the Steam Frame, now this has me second guessing 😅

Thief VR: Legacy Of Shadow is enjoyable. Im about half way through the missions.

It got some rough reviews initially but they must have patched it. Plays well and takes me right back to the Thief games on PC. Its better in VR as it adds more tension to sneaking through the shadows and tight spaces. Lots of secrets to find also.

Ha damn I forgot I bought that, gotta give it a go.

In other news I tried out Hitman 3 the other day and it plays great, they definitely patched the hell out of it as it doesn't have the artifact issues shown in early reviews

Imagine going up against one of the greatest and most well reviewed games on the Quest Store! Not surrpsied there's codes available for the game in an attempt to get some traction.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 14,875 ✭✭✭✭mrcheez

One thing I like about it is that you can hit the ball while it's moving if you want (something that annoys me in Walkabout where it can sometimes take ages to stop rolling). Prob Incurs a penalty but handy if u just want to mess around rather than a serious game.

Anyway for 80c I'll check it out as looks like dev is continuing to add to it plus it's early access which is another reason it's selling so low...gotta pay for bread n cheese while developing 😉

    The Light Brigade is awesome.

Bought it years ago but saw a glowing review on 6DOF recently so decided to try it.

It takes everything good about In Death Unchained and adds to it. Much more variety in setting, weapons, upgrades, better boss fights and more which keeps me playing on. Its more forgiving also which Ive spoiler tagged in case people want to find out for themselves:

some extra lives and an autosave at the start of each area to continue a run later

The sound design and level variety really add to the immersion. The amount of customization options available is mind boggling. I like the art style and weapon handling feels tight / satisfying.

    Folks am I misremembering?
Or is there a "self referral" hack for getting credit when adding a new headset?
I got sick of waiting for a look at Steam VR hardware that TBH I can't really justify price wise 😉
And I managed to get a Quest 3 512gb for €440 so decided to pull the trigger on it.
    Any pointers appreciated 👍

in fairness it was a post from 2023 so you might have missed it :)

Hopefully all the instructions are the same… the whole thing about changing url to oculus.com instead of meta.com is probably way out of date

Made it to the final boss in The Light Brigade and got my ass kicked. Need to do some more runs to power up.

In the mean time I started playing Memoreum. Im about 3 hours in and it's excellent! I'd say its a mix between Dead Space, Doom and Resident Evil.

Really creepy atmosphere, great story and some puzzling.

On sale at the moment. 29.99 17.99

    14.99 with Meta+

I was scanning through qsdb and decided to check out who develops those shovelware apps featuring "those" kinds of logos you see on shovelware on Play Store

    You know these ones...

    Screenshot_20260217_121912_Samsung Internet.jpg

Turns out pretty much all of them are developed by 1 company: esti soft

Seems to be a Turkish company churning out crap relentlessly

Even the assets in the games look identical

    Eew.. pure slop.

I thought there were plenty of regs to get listed on the Meta store.

Shame Max Mustard gets booted when you see this stuff clogging up the store.

Since this is the most popular VR thread I said I'd plug a new thread I made for XR / AR / Smart glasses:

Check out my review of the Rayneo Air 4 Pro in the second post.

I swear that Esti crap keeps rolling out like diarrhea after too much KFC

    Screenshot_20260218_110006_Samsung Internet.jpg

Literally the first 2 pages of sales are Esti trash

My 512gb Meta Quest 3 was delivered this morning.
    I paid €440 for this via onbuy.com.
Honestly half expecting either the order to be cancelled or that I would get a VAT demand before delivery.
Anyway, the Quest 3 was delivered by Amazon this morning this morning with no additional VAT required.

I would hazard a guess that the seller is using a business account and has zero rated the VAT on their end (UK based seller) and has been exporting with no intention of ever balancing off their VAT account.

I've got to say, I wasn't expecting such a step difference in image quality between the Quest 2 and the 3.
The difference in clarity between the Fresnel lens in the 2 and the Pancake lenses in the 3 is stark and brilliant.
Its also a far more comfortable headset, the better IPD adjustment and the ability to adjust the standoff without needing a spacer really are great QOL improvements.

Now I've got to print myself a new Gunstock as well as decide on what apps to spend my €30 on.
I'm leaning towards Assassin's creed nexus & Dawn of Jets (If anyone has either & a referral code? Fire one on please)
