General thread for discussion around the other teams in the forthcoming 6 Nations.

England apparently have a slight prop crisis themselves, and will be without Will Stuart (torn achilles) and Asher Opoku-Fordjour (shoulder injury) for the entire 6 Nations. They'll likely be relying on Joe Heyes at THP, with one of Trevor Davison or Afolabi Fasogbon backing him up. Fix Baxter on the LHP side also has a bad foot injury and will miss some time.

Quite a settled Scottish squad at this point.

At some point things will potentially change, but I still don't look at that pack of forwards and see anything that would strike fear in me. Scottish fans are raving with optimism about Freddie Douglas at openside, but it still looks like Sean Everitt and Co are less convinced than Gregor Townsend on him.

On the Welsh squad, I remember being hugely impressed by Louis Hennessey at U20s level, he's a big unit with good pace. Not playing a huge amount with Bath though. The other debutant, Gabriel Hamer-Webb played well last year for Cardiff but moved to Leicester for this year where he equally hasn't featured a whole lot.

pretty wild if Penaud is deemed below standard but France are never short of talented wingers. Otherwise they’ll be licking their lips.

Galthie doesn't rate penauds aerial game. He dropped him last year after the England game.

France have named their squad. As rumoured earlier, there's no Penaud, Fickou or Alldritt. Nolann Le Garrec is out too, but that's injury enforced rather than selection based.

They're saying Aldritt declined to be part of the squad that toured NZ last July, but he did start two games in November. He's also not playing well - he looked absolutely knackered early enough in the second half against Leinster a few weeks back. I think Mickael Guillard or Charles Ollivon at 8 give them more anyway.

Ugo Seunes is in - he's Racing's 10, and currently uncapped. Stade's uncapped centre Noah Nene makes the squad, and Castre's 31-year-old lock Tom Staniforth (formerly Aus U20s). Another uncapped centre is Fabien Brau-Boirie (plays for Pau), who is 20, Aaron Grandidier-Nkanang, a London-born winger for Pau who won an Olympic gold in the 7s, Gaël Dréan, a 25-year old winger for Toulon who has scored 11 tries in 13 games this year and possibly a few more I've overlooked.

Yeah, he is, played French U20s. He’s grown up in France, moved there when he was a year when his dad signed for Grenoble.

Had heard he’s been very mixed this year in Top14, and switches off in games (his lack of effort on chasing JVDF for his try supports that) but yeah obviously very talented as you said.

It would be a disaster if it happened, but I wouldn't blame the players. The way the Ospreys players have been treated the past while is an absolute disgrace.

I've just read that ITVs coverage of the 6 nations will run adverts during the games. Split the screen in half and show adverts one side live action the other. Deary deary me. Commercialised tripe.
