    Yeah, TM block them alright

I've got Singular Artists in Dublin and always just screenshot them myself for simplicity, never an issue

Does anyone know the layout of the ambassador theatre, are there assigned seats? From looking there just seems to be rows and not seat numbers.

Looking (hoping) to get 4 tickets for Rachel Galvo on either December 5/6th so be good to know if they all have to be together.

Got tickets to one of her Dec 2024 gigs at the Ambassador and it was assigned seat numbers.

does anyone here ever use cloakrooms at big venues like the point? How was it leaving? As we head into big winter coat season Im wondering whether to use them or not

Anyone got an email from Ticketmaster saying their account has been suspended with a link to https://withpersona.com/ to rectify it? Wondering what the process is

No idea what triggered it, haven't bought anything for weeks

I got the same - my possible crime buying a single ticket for the upcoming FAI Cup final. I've opened a support case with them and I'm being very courteous but damning. No way I'm giving biometric data to them or their 3rd Party ID Verification partner. Seems like a shambolic AI implementation.

It's definitely the sort of email I'd be clicking "report phishing" if it came to my work address!

I checked their FAQs and I'm sure it's legit from them, anyway. I'll probably do it tomorrow, but fair play to you for standing up to it

I was going to buy a ticket for a gig tomorrow too 🤣 (well, I was on the fence, this might settle it)

"Your [something] has been suspended, click on [random third party link]" is classic phishing, but yes Ticketmaster are thick enough to actually do that

There is no cloakroom in the point for the regular Joe.

There is a cloakroom available to 3 customers on the limited supply in the 3 lounge. As its limited easy leaving as they open the exit in that area too. If its a sold out show head in before the opening acts as you likely wont have a hope otherwise.

The link with the phone network 3 makes me wish the Point would burn down to the ground. I'm not going to change my phone network because of whatever crap they offer to their customers. I'm already paying through the f**king nose to visit the place so there is no need to make me feel like a third-class citizen.

how are you made to feel like a 3rd class citizen?

The only benefit is a very small allotment of presales whereas there is always free to obtain presales with larger allotments from promoters and artist mailing lists

We're heading to catch Black Honey playing in Whelan's Dublin on Feb 19th… Now i'm not a fan of Dublin (or cities generally) but whats the venue like?

Any recommendations for some good food in the area also? We like things off the beaten track or unusual :D

    Whelan's is a wonderful venue!

Loads of food options up Camden St. Personally I'd recommend Port House Tapas if you want a proper meal, or CN dumplings or Neon if you want street food style

Ace, tapas is a good call actually, not had a good spread like that since the only place up here on the North Coast closed a few years back.

I have two tickets for a concert in the 3Arena. Obviously, I can only use one so I'm thinking of selling the other one.

Both are in Block A. One is for row 9 and the other is for row 28. Does anyone here know which seat would be better. I know the higher seat would have a better view but the lower one would be closer to the stage. I'm just having trouble deciding which one to go with.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 13,979 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

I block A I'd say it's actually the one that's furthest from the left hand wall, so facing in towards the stage the most

If they're about equal it's just preference, I think I'd go higher

    This might help...

I also want feedback please on these sections and seats I will sit in the first time this December and thank you for any feedback given.

3 Arena: Block L Row 37: It is the upper tier but do I still have a good view from here? Going by the map I'm bang slap in the middle of the arena facing the stage? And I'm only a few rows from the front (Row 33 is the front row of Block L on the map)

Olympia Theatre: Upper Circle Unreserved: I've heard before I need to get in early to secure a seat near the front of this section as the seats behind the first few front rows then I can't see the performer if he's at the front of the stage? Or just the top of his head if I'm lucky? Just to how restricted the view is if I'm not in the first few front rows?

Not restricted but you feel like you are standing up sitting , if you get me ? It's so steep .

We have gotten caught with the unreserved seats and having a few drinks at the bar a few times . But still able to see the stage .

I see Zach Bryan is on general sale on Friday but presale is tomorrow. Needed to register tomorrow.

    1. Have I any hope of getting them Friday or will they be all gone with this pre register thing?
    2. What's the point of the pre register. Seems like a full time job to stay on top on the hoops you need to jump though (or just younger without kids, work etc.). This seems like a open to all presale as opposed to some limited membership one which I understand.

I'm going to Manchester for the Sabaton concert on Friday and was wondering if anyone has utilised the Citylink Walk? Do there actually be stewards on the walkway after concerts?

I've just have had a few people tell me I'm crazy to go to a concert in Manchester as a solo female, as it's very dangerous to travel between Piccadilly and the Co-op.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,722 ✭✭✭Fanirish

just get the tram. It brings you door to door between Piccadilly and co op

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 519 ✭✭✭Sean Seoighe

Blessed to have got tickets and beggars cant be choosers but got Section F Row D seats 3 and 4 for Magdalena Bay - will i see much of the stage?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 7,722 ✭✭✭Fanirish

    you’ll see everything apart from

Maybe a guitarist /keybisrdist on far left of the stage. Vicar street don’t sell the closest ones to the wall.
you can also stand anywhere upstairs or downstairs with an upstairs ticket

Seen as Dave and Rog still aint talking I'm off to see Breathe: Pink Floyd tribute act in teh Academy.

I havent been here before so could anyone give me some tips re: bar and best area etc. I see there's a gallery so woul dit be good idea to head there but think we'd prefer standing.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 13,979 ✭✭✭✭Electric Nitwit

Academy is basically all standing anyway. Few seats on the balcony, first come first served. The middle of the balcony is standing too but contrarily, just head onto the main floor. It's not big, great view and sound all round

The bar is behind the sound desk, they're fairly efficient at serving and you don't have to miss the band to get a drink. The downside of that is background chatter, but it's generally not too bad (obviously clientele dependant)

    Enjoy!

Great thanks. Was looking at what bars are near but I think the Halpenny Bridge Bar or whatever it's called now will prob be best bet for pre gig but would welcome suggestions.

Ah sorry, thought you meant the bar in there 🤣

Grand Social would be my choice before the academy but partly that's because of where my bus stops. Nice bar though, albeit very small
