In fairness, humans do way more cruel and depraved things to billions of chickens every year.

Anyway, I get triggered when people blame a wild animal for something. Especially something so beautiful and that was nearly wiped out here, like the Pine Martin.

Now, North American Minks. No time for them. 😁

Depending on the size of the gaps in your wire mesh, pine marten or mink can squeeze through surprisingly small openings.

Slightly off topic, but I had the exact same issue myself with both a fox and a mink. So after that I bought an Omlet hen house with the automatic door. Once the door closes at night, nothing is getting in and I mean nothing! But I only keep a small number of Hens.

If you know someone with a 22 air rifle or 22lr see if they will come some evening and shoot it (only if a mink if pine martin then no)
