Not so much TDS in this thread as TCP .

Aspirin stops the platelets in your blood from sticking together. Makes it harder to form clots, kind of reduces the stickiness of them. Good for someone with specific risks, heart attack or stroke, or could be related to issues with his ankles and his blood vessels. Bad if you have an event that is involving a bleed, as your normal bodily response is to form clots to stop said bleed, which is now hard as they struggle to stick together. Normal low dose is 75mg. Normal Aspirin is probably 300mg, those that you would normally take for whatever reason. If he is taking 4 x the amount, then he is taking one of them tablets. Not the end of the world for anyone, to be fair. He is also full of **** so, who knows what he is taking. He is bound to be on a fistful of tablets daily. All those for his sex diseases, his fake tan tablets and whatever other pills that are hard to swallow.

If he's so good at these tests, getting scores that nobody else could ever get, then why not publish the test including his answers and how long he took? Seeing as he's he Best Ever (So Many People Saying This!!!) then he should only be too delighted to put them online, no?

    Can anyone figure Trump out?

Russia supplying Iran with arms today as Trump threatens Iran.

Yet Trump loves Putin and Russia every other day.

None of it makes any sense.

Your concern about “where they are not based” is valid, and is one of the practical issues which Kavanaugh is worried about in his concurrence. He did believe the order should remain, but was not happy about the majority’s expanded commentary.

    image.png

A footnote he makes also includes this observation.

    image.png

So when it comes time to the merits, I think there is an excellent chance that Kavanaugh is likely to depart from the other five. That would still put the administration in the minority unless one of the majority’s thresholds is reached in the merits phase (or one of the majority gets convinced by the dissent’s arguments) but the bottom line is that if Trump decided to escort ICE with Marines instead of Guardsmen, this entire line of argument would be moot and there would be an entirely different debate being held in the courts.

Frankly, I disagree with the majority’s interpretation. (For what is worth, my not being a supreme court Justice and all). IMO, there should be no practical legal difference between federalized national guard under Title 10 federal command, and regular federal Title 10 forces under federal command, and the term “regular forces” in the context of the legislation should be interpreted as “the civilian forces normally used to enforce laws”. (But I also understand the legal logic flow they used to get there, it is not entirely without basis). According to Gorsuch’s dissent, this “civilians first” principle was a shared interpretation by both parties at the district court level, and the majority basically added a definition which nobody asked for.

There were seven explosions in the Venezuelan capital twenty minutes ago.

Some people, very very smart people say, they were the biggest explosions that ever exploded.

He sides with Russia because he knows that there's lucrative business deals to be made there (by most accounts he's already up to his eyeballs in dirty Russian money anyway). He sides with Israel because there's deals to be made there too (he lets the Jews genocide the Arabs and he gets a slice of Gaza for cheap property development). He sides against Iran because the Iranians have nothing to offer him. However, toppling the Iranian regime and setting up a puppet government like the last time the US interfered in the country may be of benefit to a nefarious character like Trump.

Trump runs a mafia, not a government.

I wonder is his recent bombing of Countries is a response to his not getting the Nobel peace award. Its like the reaction of a spoiled bully. That clown Johny from FIFA has got his response for giving that idiotic peace medal.

He only has a couple of weeks left to end them. The nomination window for the 2026 award closes pretty soon. I know he got nominated during mid 2025 (which counts towards a 2026 nomination) but to cap off the year with more bombings just goes to show foolhardy it is for him or MAGAworld to think that he’s ever being invited to Oslo to get a medal.

We will no doubts get a new round MAGA shenanigans this November about the next Nobel…although perhaps they’ll be too distracted by the Mid-terms?

This Presidency really is as bad as we said it was going to be, isn't it. Prior to Nov 2024, I don't think we said he'd do anything that he hasn't actually done.

And aside from that fact, these attacks on Venezuela are just another weight added that will inevitably tip the scale to another atack against Americans.

How can a country act in this way and not expect to experience some retaliation, at some point?

We've known that America has long acted in this way, with Trump though, and Hegseth, their desire for attention and to stroke their own egos will accelerate the point at which someone will attempt to strike back. And that will then initiate "justified" warfare for another ten+ years.

    It's depressingly predictable.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,142 ✭✭✭Widdensushi

I think striking back would make it worse, they are looking for that attention.

I'm not talking about Venezuela striking back in some form of normalized conflict response to this.

I'm talking about individuals or private groups being motivated by America's actions, to look for a way to strike out.

When it happens, it'll be said they were motivated by "radicals" or "extremists" when in reality, it's things like this that provide the motivation.
