anyway inter didn’t do a tap in the second half so little sympathy for them.

used to be big English teams would get embarrassed in Europe while winning easily in the league. Now it’s the other way round.

Great win for spurs tonight. Back to back wins at home finally!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 16,425 ✭✭✭✭8-10

    Fair play to them.

The more these teams win in Europe the more chance Liverpool only need top 5 not top 4 this season! 🤞

True. Liverpool losing to Atalanta a few years ago cost Spurs who finished fifth. Worked out well however .

    excellent from VAR

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,092 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

Put it where he wanted, but I'd want me keeper to be saving that

Low and close against Donnarumma is a good option

More poor keeping....City level pending VAR

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 11,067 ✭✭✭✭FourFourRED

Poor keeping on both ends. Courtois with a howler

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 20,092 ✭✭✭✭McDermotX

Considering what was given last night, not sure how they can't give that......other than it being against Real

    Haaland puts City ahead

    Real self destructing here

City have done very little this half. And yet are 2-1 up already. Alonso under huge pressure now

The hankerchiefs still in the pockets at HT anyway. Could have been worse for Real as well

Doku has really come on this season, he's a real handful.

Two screamers from Arsenal last night all but guarantees home advantage in second leg as long as they remain in the competition.

Regardless of how they do, away, against Inter, they face the bottom club, Kairat Almaty, at home, in the last round.

A very strong Man City side currently losing 2-0 to Bodoe/Glimpt. Mad!

    Could've been 3-0 there too

Its 3 now, incredible goal. Rodri made look amateur in it all

Comically poor by Rodri - fully deserved both yellows.

Delighted they are getting torn apart by the minnows.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 22,653 ✭✭✭✭Mushy

    Lovely goal by City.

Now Rodri sent off after 2 very quick yellows, both for cynical fouls. Nice to see him called out on it, and the absolute gaul of Rodri and Pep to complain

City look like they are finished, they are a shadow of their former selves.

Cant see Pep being there next season.

You'd have to wonder if they are still favourites for promotion from League 2 on this form.

Doubt their population would even fit in the Etihad.

Horrendous result - even moreso when it should have been worse!

Pep will get out for sure if their form continues like this. He is a busted flush now. He doesnt like the pressure of having to turn a team around. Also, can't seem to spend his way out of this slump.

I've said it a few times but City are poor. Liverpools form has taken the focus off them for large parts of the season but without Haaland banging them in, they're so toothless. Which is crazy considering they have spent another 600m in the last few windows!

Pep will go in the summer and I've a feeling Enrique could be in the hot seat next year. They seem to be stocking up on quicker, more transitional players. Veering away from Peps famed controlled football. Could be building a squad for someone like Enrique.

I get the feeling he's had one eye on the door since the end of last season. He's seemed a lot more jovial for much of this season, like he's just soaking up the last ride. There's a bang of 'building for the next guy' about some of their signings too… club signings rather than necessarily Pep signings. Not to mention that we know they've talked to Maresca about the role, since he had to disclose that - not necessarily that it'll be him, but it's quite telling that they're obviously looking around.

Would make sense too for him, the international cycle ends this summer, and he's long said he couldn't face into another club job but would love to try an international one. He'd have his pick of roles for the next cycle, with this summer the perfect time to start a 4 year international stint.

City already had more points after 6 games than they had after 8 league phase games last season

I wouldn't read much into it. This new format is awful, you can play at 60% and still not get eliminated

    Meaningless game today

He has certainly not looked more jovial. Well I suppose he hasn't started ripping at his own head this year so that's an improvement for him.
