There's no live stream of Kilshannig v Ballinora (Junior A County Hurling final) on Sunday I think? Disappointing.

Well done to the new Munster Club Junior Hurling Champions, Kilbrittain!

Winning by 14 points in the end.

As well as the above win, the Barrs Camogie team won today in their semi final. They now play in the All Ireland Senior Club Championship Final against Athenry on Sunday 14th December.

AIB All Ireland Club Camogie Semifinal

    St. Finbarrs 3:15 (24) Loughgiel Shamrocks 3:14 (23) AET

It was a crazy game with each seemingly to go 4 points up but the other team gets a goal and a point to go level again. It went to extra extra time. Yes, not a typo. It was double extra time!

I think these games should really go a replay but maybe its just me.

Hopefully the girls can go all the way!

What is wrong with people? I just said winning an Ireland would be a help to the guys looking up to him that he was actually an Ireland winner. I think it's actually very important.

I was more taken aback by that comment from Alan Connolly when he said that Tipps hunger in the second half surpised us. That tells you everything you need to know about the mentality of some of those players. Mr nice guy Pat Ryan is gone now though there's a totally different man in charge now.

Cork have only won one club all Ireland in hurling since Midleton in 1988, and that was in 2004 when Newtownshandrum won it. Oh and i fail to see what telling someone to find new hobbies for themselves does for the debate tbh.

Oh it's nothing to with it but that poster has subsequently showed what I suspected, their an empty vessel by suggesting that Patrick Horgan has no business helping out with Cork underage teams. Cork clubs might have a poor record but club and county they're 2 different entities, arguably a vibrant championship is more important than a successful club. Has Waterford benefited from Ballygunner's 8th consecutive Munster final tomorrow? Did Dublin benefit from Cuala's back to back All Irelands?

As well as the Barrs into the Senior Camogie final, Ballincollig won today to get to the Intermediate Camogie Final

AIB All-Ireland Intermediate Championship Semi Final

    Ballincollig 1-12 Eglish 1-6

They will play Camross from Laois in the final

Incidentally about the Barrs in the Camogie final, in the entire history of the GAA, no club have ever won an All Ireland senior title in 3 different codes. St. Finbarr’s one game away from making history in the All Ireland Camogie final!

It's very hard to turn a flakey team into winners. It'll be interesting to see what OConnor can do.

But how and why did he leave!!

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,672 ✭✭✭Straight Talker

The ironic thing is that the Cork team he played on was the total and utter opposite. A new approach and fresh voice was badly needed after that fiasco last July. Whether he can turn this lot into winners time will tell. We have been here before we did lose two all Ireland finals back to back in the early 80's. Although back then there was still a core of players in the team that finally came good in 1984 from the three in a row 1978 team. It's been only the occasional all Ireland here and there for Cork since then unfortunately!

    Buttevant got smashed.

The frustrating thing about being in Munster is that 4 counties don't care about football and that leaves the Cork clubs to getting battered every time against Kerry teams now.

Its actually embarrassing I rather not bother

Intermediate final following the same depressing pattern of the Junior. Close at half time and then the Kerry side have the wind in the second half and pull away comfortably

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,430 ✭✭✭Seadin

Until Cork Clubs abandon the duel intermediate and senior grades we will be no where near a Kerry level wise. Knocknagree should have been playing An Ghaeltacht today not Aghabollugue. It's a joke really.

I expected The Barrs to put it up to the Kerry champions. Sherlock is really in the mood.

    Barrs lead by 0-14 v 1-06

    Sherlock is really on fire!

    Hope they keep it up.

    Unbelievable bottlejob by Barrs

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,430 ✭✭✭Seadin

    Thanks for jinxing that

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,404 ✭✭✭lukin

Even by the standards of Cork football that was one of the biggest bottle-jobs I have ever seen. Simply shocking by the Barrs.

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,430 ✭✭✭Seadin

Barrs were the better team but couldnt go and win the game. They won't ever get a better chance again. Bottlers

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,404 ✭✭✭lukin

Steven Sherlock is a great man for kicking points in the first half of a game when there's no pressure on him. But when it's in the last five minutes he s###s himself, as we just saw today. A complete fraud and a choker.

0 from 3 return this week from Cork teams v Kerry teams although Barrs I thought were better than Dingle but couldn't win. Cork football to continue to go through the doldrums for the next few decades.
