Sars fullback line with an awful start, 2-05 v 0-01

Ridiculous level of skill by Hogan for the goal.

Ref blew Way too early, O'Flynn buried the ball to the net - no advantage at all, cost Sars a goal.

8 down at ht but should only be 6.

better last 5 min from Sars but still 8 down at half time. Ref should have left them play advantage and score a 2nd goal too. 2-11 to 1-6

Only 7 in it at the end but it was over when the third and fourth goal went in. Both of which the defenders will have to hold their hands up and take the responsibility for.

Typical, another Cork team beaten well. Hurling is finished in this county im afraid. Sars no where good enough at all. Game over after 10mins. The power we once were as a hurling dynasty is truely finished.

Good one. The truth hurts though whether you like it or not. That's the problem with some Cork fans on here, they don't want to admit that they is a huge problem with the standard of hurling in the county and are so full of......…and that's why we are hated by most counties. Go away now and call me a troll but the facts are there to be seen. Embarrassment.

A friend told me around 2018ish that Ballygunner will win 20 Waterford championships in a row. I laughed at him at time. Think they are on 12 now and hard see them stopped short term.

I think Seadin has a point.. Cork club hurling is not what it was and has not been for long time.

I think we are wrong if we think the club game is strong.

Cork Senior club hirling is poor - despite Sars winning Munster last year, beating Ballygunner and getting to the All Ireland Club final, before losing badly again in fact.

We are much more competitive at lower grades despite the setup of grades.

Our County Senior team won the league and Munster Championship last year and got to back to back All Ireland Finals. They were very close to winning one and 6 up at ht in the other - despite playing poorly - before the second half collapse.

While it is clearly too long since Liam has returned, which leads to more and more pressure every year - that's because of our history of winning it and the high expectations we have - I view the notion that hurling in the county is gone as nothing short of pathetic to be honest.

Not winning Liam this year would of course be disappointing, but we will most certainly be there or there abouts - again.

While our senior representatives haven’t been doing well at Munster club over the last 15 years, I still think we’ve a good county championship.

For example, this year Sars, Midleton, Barrs, Rockies, Glen and Imokilly all started the year with a realistic chance of winning the county. Give me that any day over the Waterford championship where there’s a 90% chance of one team winning it out before the championship even begins.

And as others have said we generally do well in Munster at the other grades which is important too.

In my opinion the new grading system brought in 5 or 6 years ago has been excellent, previously there were far too many clubs in some grades that they had no business of being in.

Congrats to the Barrs Camogie today as they won the Munster Final beating De La Salle from Waterford !!

Barrs 3-11 De La Salle 2-12

It took an epic last minute goal from Kate Wall to seal it. This is the Barrs first ever Munster Camogie title.

Congrats also to Ballincollig who are Munster Intermediate Camogie club Champions and they beat Moycarkey Borris from Tipp 2-7 to 1-5

Congrats to Buttevant as well for winning their Munster Club JFC semi-final against Ahane 2-15 to 0-11 They now play Ballymacelligott of Kerry in 2 weeks time.

A great day for Cork clubs and hopefully Barrs can win in the football tomorrow at 3.30 against Éire Óg of Ennis in the Munster semi-final at Páirc Uí Chaoimh

Barrs into the Munster football final, beating the Clare side 3-20 v 0-14

They'll play Dingle who battered the Limerick champions - they ony scored 2 points.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,950 ✭✭✭The White Feather

It will be Cork versus Kerry in the 3 football Munster Finals!

    Dingle v St Finbarrs (Senior)

    An Ghaeltacht v Aghabullogue (Intermediate)

    Ballymacelligott v Buttevant (Junior)

That's some team finbars have going to make a great Munster final

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 4,404 ✭✭✭lukin

We'll see how many of them Cork will win. None I bet.

Never heard of the Junior team, but they will probably win the All Ireland as normal.

An Ghaeltacht……. intermediate……. should be too strong also.

Dingle will need to perform as they can as the Barrs have a team capable of scoring against anyone and should give them a right rattle.

I can tell you right now that the three kerry teams will win it. There is an unfair advantage in the intermediate and Junior grades as An Gaeltacht are Kerrys second tier champions playing the third tier champions of Cork Aghabullogue. Same with junior. Kerrys third tier playing Corks fifth tier. This needs to change if Cork teams want to become any bit competitive in this club championship.

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,430 ✭✭✭Seadin

Ballymacelligott are a North Kerry team, where hurling would be a bigger strong hold. They will probably still beat Buttevant who are Corks 5th tier champions

Not having a go at Hoggie but what has he done exactly to merit such an appointment at this role straight out of retirement? If anything I think it's a terrible appointment but that's just my opinion.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2, Paid Member Posts: 6,098 ✭✭✭Widdensushi

Pretty obvious he knows a bit about hurling, not sure what other qualifications you think are required?

  • Site Banned Posts: 2,430 ✭✭✭Seadin

Maybe winning an All Ireland experience would come in handy?

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 5,172 ✭✭✭deisedude

Because if Cork had beat Tipp a few months back it would transform into a superior coach?

    Stop talking sh1te

Footballers will play Limerick with the winners playing Tip/Waterford in the semi.

Clare v Kerry in the other semi. Set up for a Cork v Kerry final hopefully.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 739 ✭✭✭Mr.CoolGuy

I don't know about that. Clare have been finalists the last few years and Sam Maguire regulars so they clearly must be a top team. They could catch Kerry out

Clare could catch Cork but not Kerry I think. Kerry by 8-10, easing up.
