    There is only one DART improvement I want to see, and that is to have the night gate at Killester station left open permanently.
    Another train missed yesterday evening. I got off the N4 with five minutes to it. Crossed the road bridge as the DART pulled in to the station. Got caught queueing at the barriers then met the flow of passengers getting off my train so wasn’t able to catch it.
    I mean I’m all for revenue protection but not at the expense of actually using the service.

    The fact that this has been the situation for years but still isn’t addressed doesn’t give me confidence in the rest of the improvements being achieved.

    I believe the depot is still part of the Dart+West project, I haven’t seen any indication of it being separated out into a separate project. The recent NDP document doesn’t mention the depot as a separate project, while they now have a separate DART+Wicklow Town, so it looks like it is still part of D+W.
