Are Prendergast and Blade injured or just not available as need rest after the Autumn Internationals?

Edit: from team news on Connacht website,

"Unavailable due to injury are fellow internationals Cian Prendergast, Caolin Blade and Mack Hansen – all of whom will be further assessed next week – as well as Shamus Hurley-Langton, Peter Dooley, Dylan Tierney-Martin, David Hawkshaw and Oisín McCormack, plus long-term absentees Oisín Dowling, Byron Ralston and Temi Lasisi."

What's the story with Gilbert. You'd imagine he's well climatised at this stage. Not in the squad and not injured.

Bit of a must-win game this evening. Hopefully we can match the Benetton performance.

Not a huge fan of the two Murrays together, not sure why we haven't picked Joyce for this one.

Really like Paul Boyle as captain

Kick the ball for God's sake. Went backwards more than 5 phases in a row.

Stupid offside penalty them couple minutes later sharks get a 50/22

Feck. Between the held up from a great position was a disappointment and there Murphy should not have risked letting that bounce hoping it would go dead. He had a chance to catch and clear.

Getting driven back in a lot of collision so far but that is a phenomenal try. Great break josh

Sharks try. Ben Murphy could have played that ball but he thought it would bounce past the try line. Instead it bounced into touch right by the flag for a 50/22.

Think the clock was at 0 when Sean struck that but what a kick

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,464 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Ref needs to warn the Sharks, they're ridiculously illegal at pretty much every ruck.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 3,051 ✭✭✭testtech05

Boyle trying his best to draw his attention to it as well. Wouldn't mind seeing another angle of the boot Jansen took to the head there.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,464 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Yeah that was good captaincy. Didn't see the Jansen incident, but I think Duggan got away with landing on their tighthead's leg at the ruck there.

Good refereeing to be fair, Sharks discipline has been awful and it hasn't taken him too long to get the yellow.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 347 ✭✭Paddy_Mag

    That was lovely stuff

Niall Murray is having a great game.

Not A lot in that imo

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,464 ✭✭✭realhorrorshow

Don't agree that the degree of danger was low, it was a head clash at speed. He's lucky imo.

    Great try.

Not sure what is going on with head on head. Time previous that was a nailed on yellow it's a pure lottery now
