    That's a lot of mileage!

I guess nobody stops completely so. Back to the grind in the morning!

I can definitely take a recovery week with lower mileage through these winter months until I book myself in for a race again.

    Everyone is different.

If you want a week off take it. There are no right or wrong answers. Listen to your body

Some people run every day of the year, some people don't, neither are wrong

My most successful ever year of running, I ran every day for 365 days straight (and the years before it were a handful of days off per year)

If you have an injury, you should get it checked, preferably by a physio that focuses on running. It might need time off. It also could be due to a weakness in your form, and you actually need to do more work on strengthening that area, not reducing load on it further.

That's an incredible amount of running!

I try to run every second day/3 times a week. It's a hobbie for me.

I did see a physio, he suggested some exercises and rest. I did both but this tightness won't go away. It doesn't really affect my performance, just irritating and I'm concerned I'll make it worse.

I am in a similar boat with respect to tightness, and the conclusion I've come to is the root of my problems is a lack of strength. I managed to finish the Dublin marathon this year but it was a real struggle - my plan now is to focus much more on strength for a few months, while still doing a few easy runs a week, and then start back into the more productive running training (speed sessions etc) in Spring, and build slowly towards Dublin 2026, when I hope to be able to run the whole thing. We'll see.
