    Half time in both the:

    Danesfort 1-10 v Commercials 0-04, and

    Barrow Rangers 0-12 v Davidstown Courtnacuddy 1-07

Flicking between both games so can’t offer any decent analysis.

Danesfort started well and look too good for Commercials all over the field really, especially in the physical stakes. Again, the half back line have been excellent, especially Des Dunne who has knocked over a few points along with a couple of blocks/hooks. Young Mahoney in corner forward has been dangerous and scored an excellent goal off the hurl after turning his man. O Dulaing (spelling?) the only man for Commercials who has looked dangerous, finding pockets of space. Richie on the bench for Danesfort toast, hopefully the great man makes an appearance

Barrow Rangers got off to a slow start and looked in a bit of trouble against DCC. But they’ve worked themselves back into the game well. O Neill centre back has really come into the game from what I’ve seen. It’s a good match and what you’d expect from this time of the year. Bit raw at times, handling errors but full of intensity. Jack Kelly a big loss for BR today, but talk he might be back for a Leinster final if they make it, so here’s hoping

    Danesfort 1-19 v Commercials 0-09

Didn’t see any of the second half really, watched the first few minutes only. Seemed to be going the same way as the first, with Danesfort looking comfortable. Their defence looked totally dominant from what I saw, which gave their forwards a great platform to work from. They put up a decent score, but I think they’ll be disappointed they didn’t put up even more. Close to 20 wides I think. Didn’t see Richie come on but may have missed it

    Barrow Rangers 0-15 v Davidstown Courtnacuddy 2-15

Didn’t see the goals in the game, but DCC looked very impressive from what I saw. As I mentioned, Jack Kelly was missing and McDonald in corner forward had an injury in the warm up I think. He came on with a few minutes to go, but didn’t get any ball really. O Hanlon rattled the bar with 10 minutes to go, which could’ve changed things. Flavin getting sent off soon after didn’t help. Didn’t see his first yellow but his second was a silly late pull. DCC held the BR forward well, and scores some nice points on the counter.

Disappointing to see BR out, but Danesfort look good to take Leinster. They play Ratoath from Meath in the final who beat Lusmagh from Offaly 0-22 to 1-12 today. Danesfort look very impressive and still have more in the tank. They’ll be on a mission after their last time in Leinster which was disappointing

Thanks for updates, hard luck Barrow Rangers, great opportunity missed. Well done to Danesfort.

Barrow rangers were beaten by the better hungrier team. Obviously Kelly was a big loss but DCC were better balanced which seems strange to say about a wexford side. David Dunne the ex wexford player didn't have a huge influence although he was dangerous inside in the 2nd half.

Wexford sides have troubled kk clubs like mooncoin, tullogher and St lachtains last few years but davidstown looked the best equipped to take the kilkenny scalp.

Healy was very dangerous but davidstown defence was outstanding especially 2nd half. . If anything the final scoreline flattered barrow rangers.

Haven't had a chance to see it yet but fancied Davidstown pre game, they're really flying since QF stage in Wexford and very young team, Dunne the only starter over 26, from what I gather Kelly was a big loss to BR.

Been very little between Wexford and Kilkenny teams at Junior since Fethard beat Callan in 2017.

Hassey the centre back was very impressive. All the backs were tight markers and well able to hurl. Joe Doyle and Hayes good further up. Would have been interesting had jack Kelly been available.

Id say both clubs will acquit themselves well in intermidiate, although it will be tougher for barrow rangers as kilkenny intermediate would be stronger than wexford, with all due respect.

You wouldn't put bad goats on nowlan park today. Its in absolutely terrible condition

Clough Ballacolla had some serious hurlers, very good game to watch.

Will be a great final between the Shamrocks v the Martins as both team will feel they can win it in Croker.

Martin's looked very impressive. Shamrock's look ill equipped to do without Adrian Mullen. Bench looks weak

on reflection you might be right

Apart from p Mullen coming from the bench or Adrian or r Corcoran nun of there players they have been bringing off the bench have made much impact on a game in there last 5-6 games

The improved surface in Croke park will allow them to play a faster game but not sure it will be enough to get over Martin’s

Is there any substance to the line it hasn't recovered from the Springsteen concerts?

Today could be the kick up the backside ballyhale need. We've all looked silly writing them off before. martins were impressive. Their workrate was very impressive, not allowing naas to work the ball out. Must be said naas were very poor.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 2,345 ✭✭✭Billy Ocean

Yeah I was thinking the same I think in 21 they were lucky to beat Ryanagh's and 2 weeks later they hammered Clough Ballycolla in the final.

I'd have Ballyhale slight favourites for the final but expecting a very tight game, Mullen's absence could be decisive though.

Shamrocks were poor all over the field today and still in the last 5 minutes it was like the old shamrocks and rattled off three points to see out the game, and had a bad wide by Ronan Corcoran as well. They also lost Brian Butler. Richie Reid had a nightmare distributing the ball which wasn’t down to pressure, but he came good in the last five minutes. Shamrocks bench is very depleted.

Will Barry O'Connor wear the Purple and Gold next year? He would be a great additon

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,115 ✭✭✭tbiggertycome

Not sure if mentioned before but Ballyhale had a wedding on Friday in Castlemartyr, Cork. Richie Reid was best man or a groomsman. Lots if not all the players were at this. Might explain how they were that bit off yesterday.

Doubt it, sounds like he's going back to Syndey in January, his other half is a professional athlete, plays netball for England and a club in Syndey and is 1 of the most famous players in the world in the sport, I'm guessing her career dictates alot, wouldn't rule him out playing in 2027, ironically he was always considered a better footballer growing up.

On the topic of weddings don't know the date but Jack O'Connor and Grace Walsh are getting married in December so depending on date could impact St Martins prep.

This documentary is way too personal, innocent people shouldn't be dragged into it.

Will Jack O Connor be moving up to Tullaroan or will Grace be moving to the parish of St Martins in Wexford (who have a brilliant camogie team aswel)

Big decisions to be made in the Walsh/O Connor household 😄😄😄

Does Jack o Connor farm ? Hard to farm in Wexford from the Tipperary border

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,114 ✭✭✭AdrianG08

She's absolutely brutal. The type of journo who will milk this for years. And I have zero sympathy for DJ.

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 1,108 ✭✭✭conor05

His father John O Connor is a farmer alright, I think Jack could be a farm vet but not 100% in that.

But I’d say Jack farms too so Grace Walsh will follow the road frontage to Wexford!

Putting stuff in about his personal life and relationships seems terribly misjudged here

  • Registered Users, Registered Users 2 Posts: 48 AhBoyDelaney

    RTE Tonight

A disgrace and an intrusion into family members lives that has nothing to do with what DJ did. This journalist may expect a backlash on this and so will the 2 politicians who tried to gain more notice from appearing on this programme. Parts of it were shocking bad journalism. She was actually not even sure of some of her facts. In saying that what DJ did was scandalous but no need to mention his marriage or other personal stuff. Your wan can shove the book up her ****. DJ has got his punishment and rightly so but let him be now to get on with it. Can’t wait for either of those 2 so called councillors to call to the door.

Haven't watched it yet but it seemed to me that what's relevant and in the public interest was already covered in the prime time a few weeks ago. Everything about that book felt like a crowd of vultures circling ready to pick at the bones. DJ belongs in jail, he was my hero as a kid and realizing what he did really destroyed some of my best childhood memories, as no doubt it did many kilkenny folks of my age. But to see the parasites coming out of the woodwork and find them looking around for whatever else they can glom onto now that dj himself has been destroyed is sickening.

Can't see Grace not playing for Tullaroan. Good young crop of camogie players coming in Tullaroan who would look up to Grace and Miriam.Actually cracking u22 funal final coming up this weekend v Ballycallan in camogie.Hot derby on a cold winters morning
